Opel Grand Sport Electric (GSe) is the replacement of the defunct Opel Performance Center (OPC), the high-performance division of the German carmaker, Opel. [1]
The abbreviation used to stand for Grand Sport Einspritzung, as in the case of the Opel Commodore GS/E and the Opel Monza GSE, but now it means Grand Sport Electric. [2]
The Grand Sport Electric sub-brand for sporty models was established in September 2022, with the Astra L. [3] [4]
Prior to GSe models, Opel used the Opel Performance Cneter (OPC) designation for its high performance and hot hatch derivatives.
The retail versions developed by GSe are sold under the Opel brand, as special versions of the standard Opel vehicles.

Opel Automobile GmbH, usually shortened to Opel, is a German automobile manufacturer which has been a subsidiary of Stellantis since 16 January 2021. It was owned by the American automaker General Motors from 1929 until 2017 and the PSA Group prior to its merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to form Stellantis in 2021. Most of the Opel lineup is marketed under the Vauxhall brand in the United Kingdom since the 1980s. Some Opel vehicles were badge-engineered in Australia under the Holden brand until 2020, in North America and China under the Buick, Saturn, and Cadillac brands, and in South America under the Chevrolet brand.

The second-generation model, which is based on an EMP2 platform first seen on the second-generation Peugeot 308, was launched in 2016, with the vehicle being available as of January 2017. The Peugeot 3008 was originally developed with the Peugeot 5008 and as of February 2019, it was also developed together with the Citroën C5 Aircross, DS 7 Crossback and the Opel Grandland, sharing platforms and engines.

The Opel Mokka is a subcompact crossover SUV that has been produced by German automaker Opel since 2012. Sales began with the model year of 2013, at the end of 2012. The first generation was developed by GM Korea as the U200 Chevrolet Trax. The facelifted Opel Mokka was marketed as the Mokka X, before reverting to Mokka for the second generation. It is also sold under the Vauxhall brand in the United Kingdom. The Buick Encore sold in North America and in China was also derived from the Trax but the lines diverged after Opel became part of Stellantis.
The EMP2 is a modular car platform which is jointly developed and used by French car manufacturer PSA Group for compact and mid-size cars with front wheel drive or four wheel drive and transverse engine. It replaces the PF2 and PF3 platforms in one combined modular platform, and cost PSA €630 million to develop.
Opel Manufacturing Poland Sp. z o.o. is an automobile manufacturer in Poland. It assembles light commercial vehicles in a factory in Gliwice and builds engines in Tychy. Opel Manufacturing Poland is a subsidiary of Opel Automobile GmbH in Rüsselsheim, Germany which in turn is a subsidiary of Stellantis.
The Opel Grandland is a compact crossover SUV produced by the German manufacturer Opel and its British twin-sister brand Vauxhall. It was originally known as the Opel and Vauxhall Grandland X. It was introduced as a replacement for the Opel Antara, and also replaced the Opel Zafira in 2019.
Common Modular Platform (CMP) is a modular car platform which is jointly developed and used by French car manufacturer PSA Group and Chinese car manufacturer Dongfeng. Debuted in 2018 with the release of the DS 3, the platform is mainly used by B-segment vehicles along with some entry level C-segment vehicles. For larger cars from the C-segment above, PSA/Stellantis uses the Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2).
The Opel Manta GSe ElektroMOD is an electric redesign of the Opel Manta, with advanced technology. It has a "pixel visor" and a digital cockpit. Unusual for an electric car, it has a 4-speed manual transmission. Its primary colour is yellow, which is Opel's new corporate colour and this car includes 2 LED ultra-thin headlights. It is a 2-door coupe with two main screens in the interior. A screen has a speedometer, a tachometer and a fuel gauge, but it shows how much charge it has rather than fuel. The other screen is a SatNav.
