Orange Record Label was a Canadian independent record label, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Orange recordings were distributed in Canada by Universal Music Canada, which was also a minority stakeholder in the label.[ citation needed ]

Orange is also used to record and distribute the songs featured on the Instant Star television series starring Alexz Johnson. [1] Stephen Stohn, executive Producer of Instant Star, is also a minority stakeholder and director of Orange.[ citation needed ]

Orange also plays host to the Live @ Orange Sessions which are recorded in the Orange Lounge Recording Studio for webcasting on Bell Sympatico. Orange's distribution arm, Starcana Distribution, facilitates the national distribution of independent labels and artists. Artists who have performed in Live @ Orange Sessions include Katy Perry, Alexz Johnson, All American Rejects, Hedley, Pussycat Dolls, OneRepublic, Nelly Furtado, Creed, Emily Osment, Chris Cornell, Amy Winehouse, Keith Urban, Sugarland, The Fray, and Colbie Caillat.

Orange Record Label is directly linked to The Orange Lounge Recording Company, the active record label home to artists such as Justin Hines [2] and Ash & Bloom, [3] and holds the catalogues of Alexz Johnson, Johnny Hollow, Tyler Kyte, and Robyn Dell’Unto.[ citation needed ]

Damhnait Doyle is a Canadian musician, singer and composer. The phonetic spelling of her first name also serves as the title of her 2003 album. She was a member of Atlantic Canadian band Shaye from 2003–2009 with Kim Stockwood and Tara MacLean (2003–2007). Alexzandra Spencer Johnson is a Canadian musician, actress, and philanthropist. Her debut album Voodoo was independently released in 2010, followed by the demo release of The Basement Recordings in 2011, with its sequel, The Basement Recordings II, and EP Skipping Stone in 2012. The Basement Recordings III was released in 2013. A follow-up extended play Heart followed in 2014; with her sophomore effort Let 'Em Eat Cake being released October of that year. Johnson's third studio album A Stranger Time was released in 2017 and her fourth, Still Alive, in 2020.

Songs from Instant Star is the soundtrack for the first season of the television series Instant Star. The entire album is sung by Alexz Johnson, who portrays the show's protagonist Jude Harrison. Throughout the run of the show, it's official soundtracks coincide with Johnson's character's own fictional albums as she consistently works on her music during the storylines of each episode. Jude Harrison's debut album in the first season was self-titled, Jude Harrison.

Tyler Kyte Canadian actor and musician

Jonathan Tyler "Ty" Kyte is a Canadian actor and musician. He was born in Lindsay, Ontario, and began his acting career with commercials and performing in the Musical Tommy in Toronto. Kyte was made famous amongst Canadian youth as a correspondent on the Canadian TV series Popular Mechanics for Kids alongside fellow Canadians Elisha Cuthbert, Vanessa Lengies and Jay Baruchel. He later appeared on the TV series Goosebumps (1997) and Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1999). He appeared in the made-for-TV movie Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story in 2004, and had a recurring role on the Canadian drama Instant Star as Vincent Spiederman until 2008.

SugarHill Recording Studios is a recording studio in Houston, Texas. The studio was important in launching the careers of such artists as Lightnin' Hopkins, The Big Bopper, George Jones, the Sir Douglas Quintet, Roy Head, and Freddy Fender. It is renowned for its collection of vintage recording equipment, reverb chamber rooms, EMT plates and a long history of music. Frankie and Johnny is the twelfth soundtrack album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley, released on RCA Victor Records in mono and stereo, LPM/LSP 3553, on March 1, 1966. It is the soundtrack to the 1966 film of the same name starring Presley. Recording sessions took place at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, California, on May 12, 13, and 14, 1965. It peaked at number 20 on the Top LP's chart. It was certified Gold and Platinum on January 6, 2004 by the Recording Industry Association of America.
