Roseburg is a city in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is in the Umpqua River Valley in southern Oregon and is the county seat and most populous city of Douglas County. Founded in 1851, the population was 23,683 at the 2020 census, making it the principal city of the Roseburg, Oregon Micropolitan Statistical Area. The community developed along both sides of the South Umpqua River and is traversed by Interstate 5. Traditionally a lumber industry town, Roseburg was the original home of Roseburg Forest Products, which is now based in nearby Springfield.

As of 2021, there had been 188,000 interments. It is one of three national cemeteries in Oregon. On July 5, 2016, the cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The cemetery is built on top of a wide Boring Lava Field cone.

William Christmas Knighton was an American architect best known for his work in Oregon. Knighton designed the Governor Hotel in Portland, Johnson Hall at the University of Oregon, and the Oregon Supreme Court Building and Deepwood Estate in Salem. He served as Oregon's first state architect from 1911–1915, appointed by Governor Oswald West. By 1915, Knighton had designed ninety building projects as state architect. In 1919, Knighton was appointed by Governor Ben Olcott as the first president of the Oregon State Board of Architectural Examiners, a position he held until 1922. In 1920, Knighton was elected the sixth president of the Oregon Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. He remained on the chapter's board of trustees for several years and was chair of the Chapter Legislative Committee into the 1930s.

The Mill–Pine Neighborhood Historic District is a residential historic district located in Roseburg, Oregon, United States. Beginning in 1878, this neighborhood of modest homes developed to house employees of the adjacent railroad, and the service and retail workers who served them. Physical evolution of the district largely ceased after Southern Pacific Transportation Company moved its operational base from Roseburg to Eugene in 1927, leaving an unusually cohesive example of a working-class residential neighborhood of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The historic district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, and reduced in size in 2011 to reflect the destruction of some historic buildings.

The Floed–Lane House, also known as the Creed Floed House, is a Classical Revival house museum in Roseburg, Oregon. It was completed in 1854, although some researchers believed the year was 1860. The house is a standard, two up and two down design with upper and lower story porches. It was home to the daughter of Joseph Lane and generations of descendants of the Lane family until it was donated to the Douglas County Historical Society in 1960, following damage sustained in the Roseburg Blast of 1959. The Lane family intended the gift as a memorial to Joseph Lane and family.

The Roseburg Oregon National Guard Armory, also known as the Flegel Community Center, is a historic former armory in downtown Roseburg, Oregon, United States. The Roseburg Oregon National Guard Armory served as the main office of the Roseburg National Guard Company from 1914 until 1977. The building became a full-time community center in 1977. The former armory is located at 1034 SE Oak Ave, Roseburg, OR 97470, and situated directly south of the Roseburg Post Office. The armory was placed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 15, 1993.
