David Duke Carr is an American former football quarterback who played 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs and was selected first overall by the Houston Texans in the 2002 NFL Draft. Carr also played for the Carolina Panthers, the New York Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers. Darryl Dale Rogers was an American football player and coach. He served as the head coach at California State College at Hayward—now known as California State University, East Bay (1965), California State University, Fresno (1966–1972), San Jose State University (1973–1975), Michigan State University (1976–1979), and Arizona State University (1980–1984), compiling a career college football record of 129–84–7. From 1985 to 1988, Rogers was the head coach of Detroit Lions the National Football League (NFL), tallying a mark of 18–40. In 1991, served as head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL), coaching the Blue Bombers to a 9–9 record and an appearance in the East Final.
Michael Wayne Huff II is a former American football safety. He played college football for the University of Texas and then played 8 years in the NFL most of it with the Oakland Raiders who had drafted him with the seventh overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. At Texas he won a National Championship and was recognized as a unanimous All-American and the top college defensive back. In the NFL he was 2nd Team All Pro in 2010. In his last NFL season he played briefly for the Baltimore Ravens and then the Denver Broncos with whom he went to Super Bowl XLVIII, a game he did not play in and the Broncos did not win. After retiring as a player he returned to Texas as a coach.

The Vandals were led by third-year head coach Skip Stahley and were members of the Pacific Coast Conference. Home games were played on campus at Neale Stadium in Moscow, with one home game in Boise at old Bronco Stadium at Boise Junior College.
John Henry Rohde was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California from 1961 to 1963, compiling a record of 12–7. Rohde attended Abraham Lincoln High School in San Jose, California and played college football as an end at Pacific from 1946 to 1949. He was selected to play in the East–West Shrine Game in 1949. Rohde was selected by the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL) in the eighth round of the 1950 NFL Draft. Following a brief stint with the Redskins, Rohde worked as graduate assistant as his alma mater. He was engaged in business in Arizona in 1951 and 1952 before returning to Pacific again in 1953 as an assistant coach. He was appointed as assistant athletic director at Pacific in 1957. Rohde died of a heart attack at the age of 74, on July 12, 2001, in Sacramento, California.
