Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin is the 35th Chief of Akyem Abuakwa, also called Okyeman [1] in the Eastern Region of Ghana. [2] He took his seat on October 4, 1999, succeeding his brother, Osagyefo Kuntukunuku. October 2019 marked 20 years of his reign, which was celebrated in a glamorous style. [2]

It is the last remains of the Cenozoic peneplain that once covered southern Ghana, and contains ancient bauxitic soils. The range is the site of an important forest reserve, and the source of three major rivers.

Okyenhene is the title of the Tribal King of Akyem Abuakwa, an old powerful traditional kingdom in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Okyenhene is also referred to as the Kwaebibiremhene as his traditional territory is an area of a dense forest. Again, the Okyenhene is considered the head of the Asona clan. Asona is the largest of the clans of the Akans which includes the Oyoko, Aduana, Agona, Asakyire, Bretuo, Ekuona among others.

He succeeded his uncle, Ofori Atta III, and ruled the Akyems for 23 years. He was succeeded by Amoatia Ofori Panin II. He was the seventh president of the National House of Chiefs and served from 1998 till his death in 1999.

Ofori Panyin I is commonly known as the founder of the Akyem State, afterwards Kyebi located in the valley of the Birim river after 1727. He ruled from 1704 to 1727.

Osagyefo OseadeeyoDr. Agyemang Badu II is a Ghanaian traditional ruler who is the Omanhene of the Dormaa traditional area (Dormaaman) in Ghana. A grand durbar of chief, dignitaries, parliamentarians, government functionaries, ministers of state, Bonohene of Ivory coast - Nana Agyeman Adinkrah II and distinguished citizens of Dormaa were present to outdoor Osagyefo, July 25, 1999. He is the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.
