Oudenaarde (Chamber of Representatives constituency)

Oudenaarde was a constituency used to elect members of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives between 1831 and 1995. Its main urban centre was the municipality of Oudenaarde.

Koppenberg

Koppenberg is a 77 m (253 ft) high hill in Oudenaarde, the Flemish Ardennes, Belgium. "Koppen" is an abbreviation for cobblestones which in Dutch slang language are called kinderkoppen, or "children's heads". This climb is part of the route of the Tour of Flanders professional cycling race and feared by many because of its steepness and because of its cobblestones. This makes the Koppenberg difficult even for top professionals. Quite often, riders slow to the point of losing their balance, especially those at the back of the peloton who have to dismount and scramble to the top on foot.

The Arrondissement of Oudenaarde is one of the six administrative arrondissements in the Province of East Flanders, Belgium. It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement. However, the Judicial Arrondissement of Oudenaarde also comprises the municipalities of Geraardsbergen, Herzele, Sint-Lievens-Houtem and Zottegem in the Arrondissement of Aalst.

Oudenaarde Town Hall

The Town Hall of Oudenaarde, Belgium, was built by architect Hendrik van Pede in 1526–1537 to replace the medieval Schepenhuis that occupied the same site. Another older structure, the 14th-century Cloth Hall, was retained and now forms a sort of extension at the back of the Town Hall proper. In 1999, the town hall was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the Belfries of Belgium and France site, because of its representation of the civic influence of the town and its architecture.

2012 Tour of Flanders cycling race

The 2012 Tour of Flanders was the 96th edition of the Tour of Flanders single-day "Monument" cycling race. It was held on 1 April 2012 over a distance of 256.9 kilometres – between Bruges and Oudenaarde – and was the eighth race of the 2012 UCI World Tour season.

The 2012–13 season of the Belgian Second Division began on 22 August 2012 and ended in April 2013. The season was won by Oostende, who were thus promoted to the Belgian Pro League. Mouscron-Péruwelz, Westerlo and WS Woluwe played the second division final round but lost this to Cercle Brugge, resulting in no other team gaining promotion. At the bottom end of the table, Sint-Niklaas and Oudenaarde were relegated, while Heist were saved due to the bankruptcy of Beerschot AC.

The 2012 Tour of Flanders for Women was the ninth edition of the Tour of Flanders for Women single-day cycling race. The race took place on April 1, 2012, covering a distance of over 127.4 kilometres (79.2 mi). It was the third race of the 2012 UCI Women's Road World Cup season. Both the start and finish were in Oudenaarde, Belgium and 70 cyclists took part in the race.

Eikenberg

The Eikenberg is a hill and road in the municipality of Maarkedal, in the Belgian province of East Flanders. With an 82 m altitude top, its is one of many hill formations in the Flemish Ardennes, in the south of East Flanders.

The 16th running of the Tour of Flanders for Women, a women's cycling race in Belgium, was held on 7 April 2019. It was the sixth event of the 2019 UCI Women's World Tour. Anna van der Breggen was the defending champion. The race was won by Marta Bastianelli.

The fourth Tour of Flanders for Women, a women's road cycling race in Belgium, was held on 8 April 2007. British rider Nicole Cooke won the race in a two-woman sprint with Russian Zoulfia Zabirova. Marianne Vos finished third.
