Dada Life Swedish electronic music duo

Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom are a Swedish DJ duo from Stockholm, known by the collective name Dada Life. The duo was formed in 2006. They have released two albums, a number of singles and remixes and one compilation. The duo had early chart success in Belgium and the Netherlands, while their second album The Rules of Dada reached the Billboard 200. They are known for their humour during their live performances, while their name is a homage to the absurdist movement of the early twentieth century.

Background and recording

Prior to releasing the first single from Our Nation, "We Want Your Soul", Dada Life released several non-album singles from 2013-2017 - "Born to Rage" (which was re-released with vocals from Sebastian Bach of Skid Row), "This Machine Kills Ravers", "One Smile", "Freaks Have More Fun", "Tonight We're Kids Again", "One Last Night On Earth", "Tic Tic Tic" featuring Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, "Red Is The Color Of Rage", and "Yellow Is The Color Of Happiness". [2] Engblom also released his debut single as a solo artist, "Pure Adrenaline", on Spinnin' Records. [3]

In September 2017, Olle Cornéer announced his intent to take a break from touring with Stefan Engblom as Dada Life due to health issues, but stressed that he would continue to produce in studio. [4]

Cornéer and Engblom released the first single from their then-untitled album, "We Want Your Soul", in December 2017. They followed in March 2018 with the second single, "Higher Than The Sun", alongside the announcement of the album title, release date, and tracklist. [5]

The Rules of Dada is the second studio album by the Swedish electronic music duo Dada Life. It was released on October 16, 2012 by Dada Life's independent record label So Much Dada and Universal. The album features a very heavily club-influenced electro house sound, and lyrically it discusses general carelessness with a lighthearted, almost humorous tone. Three of the album's eleven tracks are entirely instrumental, the remaining eight tracks feature vocals from various artists such as Britta Persson, Vincent Pontare, Michaela Shiloh, as well as Anthony Mills.

EDX (DJ) disc jockey and musician

Maurizio Colella, better known by his stage name EDX, is a Swiss DJ and Grammy-nominated producer. The #1 Swiss artist on Spotify, he was proclaimed a genius by British electronic dance music magazine Mixmag for his production and remixing talent. Niles Hollowell-Dhar, better known by his stage name Kshmr, is an American musician, record producer and DJ from Berkeley, California. Sander van Dijck, better known by his stage name San Holo, is a Dutch DJ, musician, record producer and composer from Zoetermeer. He gained international recognition for his remix of Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode", which currently has over 175 million views on YouTube. He has released music on several record labels including Spinnin' Records, OWSLA, Barong Family, and Monstercat. He also founded Bitbird, a label which has released several of his singles including "Still Looking" and "Light" and his debut album Album1. San Holo's first EP, Cosmos, was released via Heroic on 18 September 2014 and was in the Top 100 Electronic category of iTunes.
