He won the U.S. Open handicap in 1982 and the U.S. Open Polo Championship in 1986. He also won the Gold Cup, C.V. Whitney Cup, the Monty Waterbury Cup, the America Cup, the Hall of Fame and World Cups, as well as the East Coast Open. [1] He also won the Coronation Cup in 1987 and the Westchester Cup in 1992. His pony Hill Country Slim won the Hartman Trophy in 1986. [1]
He was inducted into the Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame on February 13, 2009. [1] In 2012, he appeared on a television special about polo on 60 Minutes . [2]

Foxhall Parker Keene was an American thoroughbred race horse owner and breeder, a world and Olympic gold medallist in polo and an amateur tennis player. He was rated the best all-around polo player in the United States for eight consecutive years, a golfer who competed in the U.S. Open, and a pioneer racecar driver who vied for the Gordon Bennett Cup. In addition to his substantial involvement in flat racing, he was also a founding member of the National Steeplechase Association.
Mariano Aguerre, is a professional polo player in Argentina and the United States. He achieved a 10-goal handicap in the United States in 1994 and in Argentina in 1998. He is currently rated at 9 goals in both countries. He is a nine-time winner of the Argentine Open at Palermo, winning with three different teams: Ellerstina, Chapa I and La Dolfina. The Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame announced that Mariano was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017.
Jon Urbanchek is an American swimming coach, best known for his 22-year tenure as the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines swimming and diving team of the University of Michigan from 1982 to 2004. He has served as a coach on multiple United States national swim teams, including the U.S. Olympic swim teams in 2004 and 2008.
Guillermo "Memo" Gracida Jr. is a Mexican polo player whose international career includes several record-setting achievements, including the most U.S. Open victories (16) and the most consecutive years as an American 10-goaler (21). These feats and dozens of major tournament wins led to Gracida's selection as Player of the Centennial Era in 1990 and his induction into the National Polo Hall of Fame in 1997 while still an active player.
