Oxx was founded in 2017 by Richard Anton and Mikael Johnsson. [3] Anton served as Chair of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) in 2011. [4] The firm focuses on the “go-to-market fit” stage, supporting software companies that have validated their product and are building scalable commercial models. [5]

In 2020, Oxx announced the close of its first fund; public sources report totals around $133 million / €122.9 million. [6] [7] Investors included British Patient Capital. [8]

In 2023, Oxx announced the close of its second fund at $190 million (€173 million), backed by institutional and private investors across Europe and North America. [1] [2] [5] .
