David L. Franklin Jr. (born September 28, 1977) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League who played for the New Orleans Saints. He played college football for the Tulane Green Wave. [1]

The 1974 Michigan Wolverines football team was an American football team that represented the University of Michigan in the 1974 Big Ten Conference football season. In their sixth year under head coach Bo Schembechler, the Wolverines compiled a 10–1 record, outscored opponents 324 to 75, and were ranked #3 in final AP Poll. Michigan won the first ten games of the 1974 season in convincing fashion, including blowout victories over Colorado (31-0), Navy (52-0), Minnesota (49-0), and Purdue (51-0). The Franklin & Marshall Diplomats football program represents Franklin & Marshall College in college football at the NCAA Division III level. The Diplomats have competed as members of the Centennial Conference since 1983 and play their home games at Shadek Stadium in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Tom Blumenauer has served as the team's head coach since 2022.

The 1887 Indiana Hoosiers football team was an American football team that represented Indiana University Bloomington during the 1887 college football season. In its first season of intercollegiate football, economics professor Arthur B. Woodford served as the school's football coach, and fullback Harry Wise was the team's captain. Indiana played one game, arranged by the Indianapolis Athletic Club as part of a series of "rugby games of foot ball" intended to establish the college championship of Indiana. John Franklin III is a German-born American football wide receiver for the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League (USFL). He played college football for Florida State, Auburn and Florida Atlantic. He also played junior college football for East Mississippi, where he was featured prominently in the first season of Last Chance U. He was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
