Naked Camera is a hidden camera comedy television show which began airing on RTÉ Two in 2005. Set and filmed in the Republic of Ireland, its concept is similar to that of the UK show Trigger Happy TV or the ascendant candid camera elements of The Live Mike. Comedians PJ Gallagher, Patrick McDonnell, and Maeve Higgins wrote the scripts and portrayed the sketch characters. Produced by Scratch Productions for RTÉ, the third and concluding series aired in February 2007.

In Gaelic games, a manager or bainisteoir is involved in the direction and instruction of the on-field operations of a team. The role entails the application of sport tactics and strategies during the game itself, and usually entails substitution of players and other such actions as needed. At games, the manager may sometimes wear a bib with the word "manager" or "bainisteoir" adorning it. Many managers were former players themselves, and are assisted in coaching the team by a group of selectors.
Jake Stevens is a fictional Irish television personality and musician portrayed by the comedian PJ Gallagher. He first featured in the popular RTÉ Two hidden camera television series, Naked Camera. Stevens later achieved his own spin-off show Makin' Jake which documented his efforts to conquer the United States. He has released one single "Merry Christmas Jakey Boy", which reached number nine in the Irish Singles Chart in December 2006. Stevens performed the single on The Cafe and Tubridy Tonight.

Stevens is an alter ego of the comedian PJ Gallagher who features in the popular RTÉ Two hidden camera/comedy style television series, Naked Camera. The Jakey Boy in the song's title refers obviously to Stevens himself. The single reached number nine in the Irish Singles Chart and was performed on a number of television shows including The Cafe and Tubridy Tonight.

He was a finalist in So You Think You're Funny and the winner of the Bulmers Nuthin' Butt Funny Comedy Award, which earned him supporting acts with Rich Hall and Michael Winslow as part of the Bulmer's Comedy festival. Andrea Roche is an Irish entrepreneur and beauty pageant titleholder. Andrea founded Ireland’s first influencer talent agency in 2013 and now manages most of Ireland best known influencers. Andrea Roche founded AR Modelling Agency in 2010. She took part in the RTÉ One reality sports television series Celebrity Bainisteoir in 2009 and featured on a weekly basis on the TV3 show Ireland AM. Andrea retired full-time from modelling in 2008, she has been credited with discovering models such as Roz Purcell, Pippa O’Connor Ormond and Miss World 2003 Rosanna Davison.
The first season of Celebrity Bainisteoir was broadcast in Ireland on RTÉ One from 23 March 2008. It was won by the radio and television presenter Marty Whelan who replaced Fianna Fáil TD Mary O'Rourke as bainisteoir of Maryland, County Westmeath, during the series. Whelan's team beat solicitor Gerald Kean's Cork team, Mayfield, in the final at Parnell Park on 16 May that year.
