He has won 31 PBA titles, including a record 15 major championships; he is only one of eight bowlers in PBA tour history to achieve 30 wins, making him the only 30-time winner in PBA Tour history who is not currently a member of the PBA Hall of Fame.

This is a recap of the 1963 season for the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour. It was the tour's fifth season, and consisted of 37 events. 22-year old Billy Hardwick won four titles on the season, including the fourth PBA National Championship, en route to winning the inaugural Sporting News PBA Player of the Year award. Through the 2023 PBA Tour season, Hardwick is still the youngest player to ever win this award.

Calvin Abueva is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Magnolia Hotshots of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was picked second overall by the Alaska Aces during the 2012 PBA Draft. He was nicknamed "The Beast" due to the all-around threat he brings at both ends of the court, he dominated the nation's collegiate ranks by posting excellent numbers during his tenure with the San Sebastian College – Recoletos Stags in the NCAA. He also became the first player in collegiate basketball history to lead a college league in points, rebounds, and assists. Due to his versatility, him being frequently listed between 6'2 or 6'3, and his position as an undersized power forward for the Aces, Abueva has been frequently compared to the legendary import Sean Chambers.

Eddie Dean Tackett Jr. is an American professional ten-pin bowler. A member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) since 2012, Tackett has won 23 PBA Tour titles, including five major championships, and is one of nine professional bowlers that have completed the PBA Triple Crown. He was named PBA Player of the Year for the 2016 and 2023 seasons, and was runner-up for the award in 2017 and 2018. Tackett is right-handed and uses a cranker-style delivery. He has been called a "unicorn" in the sport, because of his ability to use a one-handed, thumb-in delivery to achieve RPM rates comparable to most two-handed bowlers.

The 2022 PBA Tour season, the 63rd season of play for the U.S. Professional Bowlers Association's ten-pin bowling tour, begins on January 15 with the Regional Portions of the PBA Players Championship. The season included 16 title events, three special non-title events, and the PBA League team event.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022–23 PBA season</span> 47th PBA season

The 2022–23 PBA season or PBA season 47 was the 47th season of the Philippine Basketball Association. For the first time in two seasons, the league returned to its regular three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup. The Commissioner's and Governors' Cups were the second and third conferences in this season.

The 2023 PBA Tour season, the 64th season of play for the U.S. Professional Bowlers Association's ten-pin bowling tour, began on January 29 with the pre-tournament qualifier (PTQ) of the U.S. Open.
