The PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) is a constitutionally-mandated 99-member body within the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria that provides advice and counsel to the leadership of the National Working Committee and staff. It is regarded by the party's constitution as the conscience of the party. [1]
The Board of Trustees is headed by an elected Chairperson, who is assisted by a Secretary. The current head of the BoT is Second Republic senator Walid Jibrin. He took over as acting chair following the removal of Haliru Bello in February 2016. [2]

Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi is a Nigerian politician and the former Chairman of the People's Democratic Party. He was governor of Kaduna State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007, and was elected Senator for Kaduna North in April 2007. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan is a Nigerian senator who serves as the President of the Senate of Nigeria. He represents Yobe North Constituency of Yobe State under the All Progressives Congress (APC). His tenure as a senator started since 2007 Nigeria general election. In 2019, he emerged the new Senate President of the 9th National Assembly with 79 votes cast to beat Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume with 28 votes.
Mohammed Sanusi Daggash is a Nigerian architect and economist who was elected as a member of the Federal House of Representatives in 1999, and became Senator for Borno North in 2003. President Umaru Yar'Adua appointed him Minister for the National Planning Commission of Nigeria in July 2007, and relieved him of his post in October 2008. He was again reappointed as Minister for Works in April 2010 by Acting President Goodluck Jonathan.
Haliru Mohammed Bello is a Nigerian politician. He was trained in veterinary medicine. He held various administrative positions under the military governments before 1999. He was Minister of Communications from June 2001 to May 2003. After he left office, he was indicted in a bribery scandal involving the German telecom company Siemens AG.
Chief (Dr.) Solomon Daushep Lar (Walin Langtang) was a Nigerian politician who has held various offices at the National level for over 50 years. Bassey Albert Akpan is a Nigerian politician who has been a member of the Senate of Nigeria since June 2015. Previously, he was Commissioner of Finance in Akwa Ibom State from 2007 to 2014. He was first elected to the Senate in March 2015, to represent Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District and he won re-election for a second time in the February 2019 senatorial elections. The PDP National Working Committee, also known by its acronym NWC, is the executive committee of the People's Democratic Party in Nigeria. The NWC is composed of 12 members, all of whom are elected to a four-year term at the party's National Convention.
