PJ Loughran (born October 4, 1973) is an American illustrator, musician and entrepreneur.

Career

After graduating from the Parsons School of Design, Loughran began his career as in illustrator doing work for the Op-Ed pages of The New York Times . He has created over 2,000 illustrations for publications and publishers including ESPN, Coca-Cola, Nike, Foot Locker, Guitar World , The Village Voice , Time and Harper's Magazine. [1]

Loughran is the former founder and CEO of Kerosene Creative Services, [2] which he sold in 2009 to Manifest Digital. He served as Chief Creative Officer of Manifest Digital for two years. In 2012, he founded The Distillery, a Chicago/LA-based digital creative and social media agency.

In 2013, Loughran sold the Distillery to Superfly, best known as the co-founders of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN and the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco, CA, where he is served as their Executive Creative Director [3] and then President. [4]

In 2019, Loughran left Superfly to start EMÁJYN, [5] a VIP / executive events firm specializing in high-end corporate experiences, with an emphasis on talent and behind-the-scenes access to entertainment and culture.

in 2020, Loughran founded two additional new companies - LOUGHRAN & CO, a brand marketing agency focusing on brand creation, design strategy, content marketing and fractional CMO advisement, and FUNNY WATER, [6] a beverage company that produces an alcoholic still water, featuring 3 flavors, low alcohol, low calories, and electrolytes and anti-oxidants.

Music

Loughran is also a musician and songwriter. Since 2001, he has completed four albums, Grenadine in 2001, Sunrise Run in 2006, Spinning On in 2012 and McKinley and Miles in 2018, the last of which was produced by Grammy Award nominated record producer John Alagia. [7] Loughran has toured and opened for many prominent artists, including Maroon 5, R.E.M, Johnny Lang, Martin Sexton, Taj Mahal, Todd Rundgren, REO Speedwagon, and The North Mississippi All-Stars.

In 2020, Loughran released an EP, "Davenport - Songs From Quarantine", detailing his experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic between March and April 2020. [8]

Bonnaroo Music Festival Annual music festival

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is an American annual four-day music festival developed and produced by Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment. Since its first year in 2002, it has been held at what is now Great Stage Park on a 700-acre (280 ha) farm in Manchester, Tennessee. The festival typically starts on the second Thursday in June and lasts four days. It has been held every year except 2020 when it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and 2021 when it was canceled due to excessive rain from Hurricane Ida flooding the campground. Main attractions of this festival are the multiple stages featuring live music with a diverse array of musical styles including indie rock, classic rock, world music, hip hop, jazz, Americana, bluegrass, country music, folk, gospel, reggae, pop, electronic, and other alternative music. Musical acts begin Wednesday evening for early arrivers, continued throughout the festival with performances starting each day around noon, and some stages entertaining festival goers until sunrise.

AC Entertainment

AC Entertainment is a music promotion company based in Knoxville, Tennessee. They are the co-producers of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival with Superfly Productions and the producers of the WayHome Music & Arts in Barrie, ON, the Forecastle Festival in Louisville, KY, Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN, and the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit in Asheville, NC. They also specialize in venue management and services, event booking and production and event marketing and sponsorships. They are also talent-buyers for several venues across the Southeast.

Superfly (company)

Superfly is a New York-based marketing and event company. Founded in New Orleans in 1996 as a Superfly Presents, they help produce Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and previously owned and produced the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. A marketing division was established in 2009, and in 2014 the company name was shortened to Superfly.

The discography of Japanese musical act Superfly consists of six studio albums, three compilation albums, three extended plays, five video albums and twenty-seven singles. Superfly began as a duo in 2003 by vocalist Shiho Ochi and guitarist Koichi Tabo; signing with Warner Music Japan in 2007. Tabo left the band in 2007 just before the release of their single "I Spy I Spy", finding it difficult to work as both the act's songwriter and guitarist. However, Tabo remained attached to Superfly, composing and producing songs for the unit until Superfly's single "Ai o Karada ni Fukikonde" (2014) and Superfly's fifth studio album White (2015), where Ochi collaborated with a range of songwriters instead.

PJ Morton American musician (born 1981)

Honey Davenport American drag performer and recording artist (born 1985)

James Heath-Clark, known professionally as Honey Davenport, is an American drag performer, singer, songwriter, actor and activist. Davenport was a longtime fixture of the New York City nightlife scene and came to international attention as a contestant on season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race. Born in West Philadelphia, Heath-Clark attended college for musical theatre in New York, where he began his career as a backup dancer for Peppermint. He later established his own dance group, The Hunties. After taking up drag, Davenport became active in the pageant circuit of that community, winning 18 titles between 2013 and 2018. In 2013, she and her band, Electrohoney, released an eponymous album and starred in a live rock opera called The Electric Highway.
