The PVF-Cantada Beach Volleyball tournaments is a once-a-month-only beach volleyball (with no registration fees) invitational tournament for men's and women's organized by the Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF) thru their President Edgardo "Boy" Cantada, Secretary General Karl Chan, Managing Director Otie Camangian (which served as the tournament director), and Deputy Secretary General Gerard Cantada. It is held at the Cantada Sports Center, in Bagumbayan, Taguig, with the world-class indoor and outdoor sand beach volleyball courts, therefore it is not opened to the public, with strictly invitational basis. The tournament is mainly supported by Tanduay under the helm of Lucio "Bong" Tan. [1]
The Philippine Volleyball Federation is a governing body for volleyball in the Philippines. It was recognized as the national sport governing body prior to 2015.
Cantada has been organizing beach volleyball tournaments and promoting the sport, since 2005. [2] Several members of the Bagwis and Amihan teams (the national teams of PVF) were also joined in this tournament. [3]
The PVF, thru its regional chapter based in the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Cordillera Volleyball Association, eyed for the staging of a national beach volleyball tournament to be held at the Baguio Athletic Bowl on March 5–6, 2016. [4]
Cordillera Administrative Region, designated as CAR, is an administrative region in the Philippines situated within the island of Luzon. The only landlocked region in the insular country, it is bordered by the Ilocos Region to west and southwest, and by the Cagayan Valley Region to the north, east, and southeast. Prior to the 2015 census, it was the least populated and least densely-populated region in the country.
The Baguio Athletic Bowl is a sporting venue within the grounds of Burnham Park in Baguio, Philippines. Completed in 1945, it is currently undergoing renovation work.

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league with teams coming from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation (CESAFI), and other associations. Since 2011, the league welcomed the participation of corporate clubs and non-collegiate teams.
Liga Pilipinas was a regional basketball league in the Philippines. It was sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, the country's national basketball federation, and owned by Pinoy Basketbol, Inc.
The Philippine women's national volleyball team is the national volleyball team of the Philippines. The country is ranked 117 as of October 21, 2018. Victonara "Ara" Salas Galang is a multi-awarded, Filipina volleyball player. She was a UAAP Rookie of the Year during the Season 74 and UAAP Most Valuable Player in the Season 75. She is the former team captain (2014-2015) of the De La Salle University Lady Spikers.
The 2000 Asian Beach Volleyball Women's Invitational or the 2000 Nestea Asian Beach Volleyball Women's Invitational for sponsorship reasons, was a beach volleyball event, that was held from February 11 to 13, 2000 in Pasay, Philippines. The event serves as the inaugural edition of the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship. The tournament was held in a beach volleyball court specifically made for the tournament at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex.

The Nestea Beach Volleyball is a beach volleyball tournament held during the Summer season in the Philippines. Held in the Boracay Beach Chalets, Station 2 in Boracay Island in Aklan, the Nestea Beach Volleyball is the longest-running beach volleyball tournament in the country and the main attraction of the Nestea Love the Beach event in Boracay usually held on April until May or the Labor Day Weekend. It consists into two parts: the Intercollegiate Beach Volleyball tournament featuring collegiate teams from different parts of the country and the Fantasy Match where semi-pro players duel in a beach volleyball exhibition game.

Cherry Rondina is a Filipina volleyball player. She is a member and the current captain of the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team. She is a 4-time UAAP Beach Volleyball MVP, the UAAP Season 81 MVP honours and a member of the Philippine Women's Beach Volleyball team.
