The Tigers came off of a season of new beginnings after they rejoined the West Coast Conference. Despite the new conference, the Tigers placed third in the WCC and made the WNIT for the third consecutive season. The Tigers were led by ninth year head coach Lynne Roberts and played their home games in the Alex G. Spanos Center. They finished the season 21–10, 13–5 in WCC play to finish in a tie for third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the 2015 West Coast Conference women's basketball tournament to San Francisco. They were invited to the Women's National Invitation Tournament, where they lost to Sacramento State in the first round.

Christopher C. Rodriguez is an American college baseball coach and former catcher. He is the former head baseball coach at the University of the Pacific. Rodridguez played college baseball at Modesto Junior College from 1995 to 1996 before pursuing a professional career from 1996 to 1997. He was the head baseball coach at Modesto Junior College from 2009 to 2012.

The Tigers were led by 17th-year head coach Bob Thomason and played their home games at the Alex G. Spanos Center in Stockton, California as members of the Big West Conference. Pacific swept through the Big West regular season schedule to finish a sparkling 18–0 in conference play. The Tigers lost to Utah State in the championship game of the Big West tournament, but did receive an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. Playing as the No. 8 seed in the Albuquerque region, the team defeated No. 9 seed Pittsburgh in the opening round. Playing in the Round of 32 for the second straight season, the Tigers were beaten by No. 1 seed Washington to end their season at 27–4.
