Padmalochan Doley

Padmalochan Doley (born 1977) is an Indian politician from Assam. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and was formerly a member of the Indian National Congress. He was the president of the Takam Mising Porin Kebang from 2014 to 2019. While a member of the Indian National Congress, Doley was a general secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee. Early life

Padmalochan Doley was born in 1977. He is a resident of Lakhimpur district, Assam. He graduated from Pragjyotish College, Guwahati, in 2003. [3]

Political careeer

Doley was president of the Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK) from 2014 to 2019. The TMPK is a "frontline Mising students organisation". [4] In 2021, Doley joined the Indian National Congress and contested from Dhakuakhana Assembly constituency, placing second behind Bharatiya January Party candidate, Naba Kumar Doley. [1] He served as a general secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee. He resigned from the Congress to join the Bharatiya January in 2024. [2] [3]
