Pamela Fischer (born 7 April 1988 in Lausanne) is a Swiss competitor in synchronized swimming [1] who competed in the 2004 European Championships, 2005 World Aquatics Championships, 2006 European Aquatics Championships, 2007 World Aquatics Championships, 2008 European Aquatics Championships, 2009 World Aquatics Championships, 2010 European Aquatics Championships, 2011 World Aquatics Championships, 2012 European Aquatics Championships, 2013 World Aquatics Championships, and 2012 Summer Olympics. The 2004 LEN European Championships were held in Madrid, Spain from 5–16 May, at the M-86 Swimming Center in the southeast of the city. The championships brought together the European Championships in swimming, open water swimming, diving and synchronised swimming. Since the event was held less than three months before the Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, some of the participating nations used the event therefore as a qualifying tournament for the Olympics.

The 2005 World Aquatics Championships or the XI FINA World Championships were held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from July 16 to July 31, 2005. They took place in Parc Jean-Drapeau on Saint Helen's Island.

The 2006 European Swimming Championships were held in Budapest, Hungary, from 26 July – 6 August 2006. Disciplines include swimming, diving, synchronised swimming (synchro) and open water swimming. European Water Polo Championships for 2006 were also organized by LEN, but held separately.

Fischer announced her retirement after the Barcelona World Championships 2013 at the age of 25. [3]

She started synchronised swimming at the age of 4 and half at the Pully Natation club, and went on to swim at the Lausanne Natation in 1998. She already knew that she wanted to compete at the Olympics and she did everything she could to realize her dream.

Pamela had many duet partners before meeting Anja Nyffeler in September 2010.

Anja Nyffeler Swiss synchronized swimmer

Anja Nyffeler is a Swiss competitor in synchronized swimming who competed in the 2011 World Aquatics Championships, 2013 World Aquatics Championships, and 2012 Summer Olympics.

2000 was her first gold medal as a soloist at the Swiss Junior National Championships. She won this title again in 2003. In 2006 she won the solo event again, and also the duet with Aude Bellina at the Swiss Junior National Championships.

Fischer competed from 2002 to 2006 with the Swiss Junior National team, and from 2003 to 2013 with the Swiss National Team.

At the World Junior Synchronized Swimming in 2006, she finished 11th in solo and 10th in duet with Aude.

The World Aquatics Championships in 2009 was the first time she represented the Swiss senior team in the solo event. She finished 14th.

At the 2013 World Aquatics Championships in Barcelona she finished 14th in solo and 12th in duet with Anja Nyffeler.

Since September 2014, she passes on her knowledge and her passion to the new generation of Lausanne Natation swimmers.

After missing the 1996 Atlanta Games due to a five-year wait to receive U.S. citizenship, she competed for her new country in Sydney, where her best placing was fourth. She went on to win gold medals in the Pan-American Games in 2003, before returning to her third and final Olympics in Athens, where she won two bronze medals.

Myriam Lignot is a French synchronized swimmer and Olympic medalist. She won a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, in duet together with Virginie Dedieu, and placed fourth in the team competition.

Amberger is a dual Olympian, having competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and is a Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, having claimed third place overall in the duet event with Sarah Bombell at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Bianca Hammett is an Australian synchronized swimmer. Taking up the sport at the age of eight and joining Australia's National Team in 2006, Hammett has represented Australia internationally in synchronised swimming since 2007. Hammett is a dual Olympian, having competed for Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics, held in London, and the 2016 Summer Olympics, held in Rio de Janeiro. Hammett has also competed for Australia at the 2007, 2011, 2013 and 2015 World Aquatics Championships.

Olga "Olia" Burtaev is an Australian synchronised swimmer. Burtaev joined Australia's National Team at 14 years of age, and made her international debuts at the 2010 Swiss Open and the 2010 FINA Synchronised Swimming World Cup. Burtaev competed for Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and represented the nation at the 2011 and 2013 World Aquatics Championships.
