Panamerican Tennis Center (Centro Panamericano de Tenis), formerly The Telcel Tennis Complex, is a tennis center in Zapopan, Mexico. It was officially opened on 15 October 2010, in a ceremony and exhibition tournament featuring tennis professionals Andre Agassi and Jim Courier. [1] The complex consists of a main court with a capacity of 2,592, [2] 8 tournament courts, 4 practice courts and an underground parking lot. [3] It hosted the tennis competition at the 2011 Pan American Games. For the games it had a temporary capacity of 6,639 for the entire complex. [4]

It was sponsored by the Mexican communications company Telcel.

It hosts Abierto Zapopan from 2019, a tennis tournament part of the WTA 250, and challenger Jalisco Open as well. It is set to be the venue of the 2021 WTA Finals.

The Portugal Open was an ATP and WTA clay court tennis tournament in Portugal. The event took place at the sports complex of Jamor in Oeiras, of which Estoril Court Central is the most prominent show court. In 2015, the tournament was canceled due to lack of sponsorship. A new tournament, Millennium Estoril Open, was created in its place, moving from Oeiras to Cascais. The 2014 Portugal Open was the last edition.

The 2011 Pan American Games, officially the XVI Pan American Games, was an international multi-sport event that was held from October 14–30, 2011, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Some events were held in the nearby cities of Ciudad Guzmán, Puerto Vallarta, Lagos de Moreno and Tapalpa. It was the largest multi-sport event of 2011, with approximately 6,000 athletes from 42 nations participating in 36 sports. Both the Pan American and Parapan American Games were organized by the Guadalajara 2011 Organizing Committee (COPAG). The 2011 Pan American Games were the third Pan American Games hosted by Mexico and the first held in the state of Jalisco. Previously, Mexico hosted the 1955 Pan American Games and the 1975 Pan American Games, both in Mexico City. The 2011 Parapan American Games were held 20 days after the Pan American Games have ended.

Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex

The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex is a tennis and squash complex in Doha, Qatar. The center is owned and operated by the Qatar Tennis Federation. It is the home venue of the ATP World Tour's Qatar ExxonMobil Open and WTA event Qatar Total Open. It formerly hosted the year-ending WTA Tour Championships in 2008–2010. It has also hosted the tennis and squash competitions at the 2006 Asian Games held in Doha.

Tennis competitions at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara were held from October 17 to October 22 at the Telcel Tennis Complex. The draw for the events was conducted on October 16, 2011.

The opening ceremony of the 2011 Pan American Games took place on October 14, 2011, beginning at 20:00 CDT at Omnilife Stadium in Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The opening ceremony was directed and produced by Five Currents, which also produced the ceremonies at the 2002 Winter Olympics and the 2007 Pan American Games.

The Jalisco Open is a tennis tournament held in Zapopan, Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, Mexico since 2011. The event is part of the ATP Challenger Tour and is played on outdoor hard court at the Centro Panamericano de Tenis.

The Scotiabank Aquatics Center is an aquatics center built for the 2011 Pan American Games in the municipality of Zapopan, near Guadalajara, Mexico. It was opened June 22, 2011, built at a cost of $USD31.7m. It is the most modern aquatic complex of its kind in Latin America, and considered to be the second best in the world by the Fédération Internationale de Natation. It has a permanent capacity 3,593, but will have a capacity of 5,000 spectators for the Pan American Games.

Estadio de Béisbol Charros de Jalisco y Atletismo

The Estadio de Béisbol Charros de Jalisco is a baseball and athletics stadium located in Zapopan, near Guadalajara, Mexico. It was built for the 2011 Pan American Games at substantial cost. It opened in 2011 and received official certification from the International Association of Athletics Federations just days before the start of the Pan American Games. It will have a permanent capacity of 8,000, but will be increased to 15,000 during the games. It has an eight-lane tartan track as well as an adjoining warm-up track.

The Pan American Softball Stadium is a softball stadium located in Guadalajara, Mexico. The stadium was opened in May 2010, and has a capacity of 792 spectators. The stadium was built to host the softball competition at the 2011 Pan American Games. It also hosted the 2010 Mexican National Olympics, and after the Pan American Games it will be used to host youth baseball and softball tournaments. The stadium has received very favourable reviews from both the United States women's national softball team and the president of the International Softball Federation.

It was built at a cost of 100 million pesos and officially opened on September 21, 2011, just 23 days before the start of the games. Aviva Centre, formerly Rexall Centre, is a tennis stadium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 12,500-capacity Stadium Court is the largest stadium at the tennis complex. Aviva Centre is the venue for the National Bank Open, a professional tournament on the ATP World Tour and WTA circuits, held annually. The Aviva Centre hosts the men's tournament in even-numbered years and the women's event in odd-numbered years, with the other gender's event held in Montreal in those years. The 2021 WTA Finals, also known by its sponsored name Akron WTA Finals Guadalajara, is the women's championship tennis tournament run by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) as part of the 2021 WTA Tour. It is scheduled to be played at the Panamerican Tennis Center in Guadalajara, Mexico. The tournament was originally scheduled to take place at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in Shenzhen, China, but due to travel restrictions owing to the COVID-19 pandemic in mainland China, it was announced on September 13, 2021 that the tournament would move to Guadalajara for the year. This is the first time Mexico will host the WTA Finals. The tournament will be the 50th edition of the singles event and the 45th of the doubles competition. It will be contested by eight singles players and eight doubles teams.

The 2021 Abierto Zapopan was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 2nd edition of the tournament and part of the 2021 WTA Tour.
