Paquita Salas is a Spanish comedy television series created by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi. It first premiered on the web platform Flooxer in July 2016. After unexpected success, the series eventually aired on television channel Neox. [1] Netflix acquired the series in October 2017 and renewed the show for second and third seasons. [2] [3] The second season premiered on June 29, 2018. In May 2018, a third season was scheduled for 2020, but surprisingly Netflix announced that the third season would arrive in 2019. The third season premiered on June 28, 2019. A fourth season was confirmed for the future. [4]
Paquita Salas is a talent agent who used to be at the top of her industry in the 90s. But times have changed and she hasn't. Now her agency, PS Management, is struggling to find new clients and keep the ones it already has. When her most famous client dumps her, Paquita's world comes crashing down. Alongside her faithful secretary Magüi, Paquita is forced to reinvent herself while searching for new talent.

La Reina del Sur is a Spanish-language telenovela based on a novel of the same name by Spanish author Arturo Pérez-Reverte. It premiered on 28 February 2011. The first season is produced by the American television network Telemundo in conjunction with the Antena 3 network and RTI Producciones, while the second and third seasons are co-produced by Telemundo Global Studios and Netflix. The series depicts the rise of Teresa Mendoza, a young woman from Mexico who becomes the most powerful drug trafficker in southern Spain.
Francisco Javier Calvo Guirao known professionally as Javier Calvo is a Spanish actor, stage, film, and television director and writer. He is best known for his role of Fernando "Fer" Redondo in the Antena 3 series Física o Química (2008-2011). Calvo created and directed the musical La llamada together with Javier Ambrossi, with its success leading to a film adaptation (2017). Continuing their work together, Calvo and Ambrossi would develop the television series Paquita Salas (2016–present), Veneno (2020-2023) and its upcoming sequel Vestidas de Azul (2023-2024), and La Mesías (2023). The director pair are also romantic partners commonly referred to as 'Los Javis'. He has received several awards including a pair of wins in both the Feroz Awards and Fotogramas de Plata, and has received nominations for two Goya Awards.

The third season of The House of Flowers, a Mexican black comedy-drama television series about the privileged de la Mora family, was released to Netflix in its entirety on April 23, 2020. It follows immediately from the end of the second season with Paulina being led into prison. It features the present-day stories of the de la Mora children, as well as a story told in 1979 of a young Virginia, the family matriarch, and friends.
