Paramathi is a panchayat town in Namakkal district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the headquarter of Paramathi block.

As of 2001 ^[update] India census, ^[1] Paramathi had a population of 10,957. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Paramathi has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 61%.
