The Paratriathlon at the 2024 Summer Paralympics – Women's PTWC event at the 2024 Paralympic Games will take place at 07:15 CET on 2 September 2024 at Pont Alexandre III, Paris. [1]
The Para triathlon course will start from Pont Alexandre III bridge near Seine River and will end at the same place. The event will be over sprint distance. There will be 750 metre Swim through Seine River, 20 km para cycling at Champs-Élysées, Avenue Montaigne, crossing the Seine by the Pont des Invalides and reaching the Quai d'Orsay and last leg of 5 km run will end at Pont Alexandre III bridge. World Triathlon confirmed the final entry list for the event in August 2024. Women's PTWC is a combined classification event, including PTWC1 (more impaired) and PTWC2 (less impaired) athletes. As such, the race will use an interval start as set out in World Triathlon competition rules, with PTWC2 athletes entering the water three minutes and thirty-eight seconds after their PTWC1 colleagues. The three minutes thirty-eight is included in the final time.

Para triathlon is a variant of the triathlon for athletes with a physical disability. The sport is governed by World Triathlon, and was first held as a Paralympic event at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Paratriathlon classification is the classification system for athletes participating in paratriathlon. It is governed by the World Triathlon. The sport has been included in the 2016 Summer Paralympics.
Nic Beveridge is an elite Australian triathlete with a disability. He represented Australia at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games where he won a silver medal. He has competed at three Summer Paralympics.
Lauren Parker is an Australian para-triathlete and para-cyclist. She won a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics and gold medal at the 2024 Summer Paralympics.
The Paratriathlon at the 2020 Summer Paralympics – Men's PTS4 event at the 2020 Paralympic Games took place at 06:30 on 28 August 2021 at the Odaiba Marine Park. The PTWC classification combined two functional classifications, both of which used handbikes and racing wheelchairs for the bike and run respectively, but with different impairment levels. To ensure as far as possible even competition, therefore, PTWC2 athletes were given a delay at the start of 3 minutes 08 seconds, a time period calculated as sufficient to even out the performance difference between that class and the more impaired PTWC1 class.
Triathlon was one of the sports contested at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, held in Birmingham, England. This was the fifth staging of triathlon at the Commonwealth Games since the sport's debut in 2002, and the second staging within England specifically.
The triathlon competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris ran from 31 July to 5 August at Pont Alexandre III, featuring a total of 110 athletes who were to compete in each of the men's and women's events.
