Narromine is a town located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of Dubbo in the Orana region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the centre of Narromine Shire. At the 2016 census, Narromine had a population of 3,528. The area is a popular area for gliding and the growing of citrus fruits. The Macquarie River passes through the town. The main road from Dubbo to the west also passes through, this being the Mitchell Highway named after the early explorer Sir Thomas Mitchell. Narromine is a station on the Main Western railway line. The area is characterised by hot summers and mild winters.

The Parkes–Narromine railway line is a railway line in New South Wales, Australia. The line forms part of a cross country route between Cootamundra on the Main South line and Werris Creek on the Main North line. It is owned by the Rail Infrastructure Corporation of New South Wales, but is managed and maintained by the Australian Rail Track Corporation under a 60-year lease signed in 2004. The line is used mainly for grain haulage, with several silo facilities located along the line. Passenger services ceased in the mid-1970s and there are no surviving passenger stations on the line. The station building at Peak Hill has been relocated to a nearby sportsground.
Narromine is a closed railway station in the town of Narromine on the Main West railway line in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened in 1882 and is now closed to passenger services, as passenger services now do not proceed past the town of Dubbo. The station survives in good condition and has been restored.
