Paro College of Education is one of the constituent colleges of the Royal University of Bhutan.
It began as a Teacher Training Centre for preschool care, which was formally inaugurated on 4 November 1974 with five female trainees and the center was a demonstration school at the Rinpung campus.
The Objectives of the Pre Primary Teacher (Kuensel, 5 December 1977) reports that it would cater to the suit the need of the time. It had 300 students.
Dasho Nado Rinchen was the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to train the Bhutanese as a good teacher. Aum Dasho Gagay Lhamu was the first principal of the demonstration school. The TTC had the curriculum on the Pedagogy, Community development, Health & hygiene and School organization. The center (TTC) had the first batch of 15 ladies as “teacher graduates” on 24 November 1977.
The new Teacher training Center academic Campus at Nangkha was inaugurated by Her Majesty the Queen Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck on 18 November 1999.

West Visayas State University is a public normal research university located in La Paz, Iloilo City, Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It was established in 1924 as Iloilo Normal School under the tutelage of the Thomasites, but dates back its founding in 1902 as a part of Philippine normal school system with Iloilo National High School established by the American colonial government. The "Practising School, Yangon Institute of Education"(Burmese: ပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ် လေ့ကျင့်ရေးကျောင်း), later, "Practising High School, Yangon University of Education"(Burmese: ရန်ကုန်ပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ် လေ့ကျင့်ရေးအထက်တန်းကျောင်း) was the name of a high school in Yangon, Myanmar, which is currently called Basic Education Department Practising High School, Kamayut Township. Although it is a high school in the technical sense, TTC's student body comprises students from Grade Kg to Grade Twelve or Matriculation, the highest standard in the Myanmar's new education system. The origin of the name of the school comes from the fact that TTC is part of the Institute of Education, whose trainee teachers are attached to the school as part of their course.

Chiang Mai Rajabhat University is a university in the north of Thailand under the Royal Thai Ministry of Education. The university was founded in 1924 as an agricultural teacher training college. In 1948, it became Chiang Mai Teachers College and offered majors in a variety of subjects. On 14 February 1982, the year of King Rama IX's sixtieth birthday, the king proclaimed Thailand's 36 teacher's colleges to be Rajabhat Institutes. They then began offering majors and degree programmes in non-teaching fields.

The Alvan Ikoku University of Education, Owerri, formerly the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri is located in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, Nigeria. It was established in April, 1963 as the Advanced Teachers Training College by the defunct Eastern Nigeria Government on the grounds of the Old Shell Camp, Owerri. It has since expanded across the Orlu Road on the banks of the Nworie River. It awards the National Certificate in Education (NCE) and the Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) and, in affiliation, with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) since 1984. The University is headed by Dr. (Mrs.) Stella Ngozi Lemchi, the Acting Vice-Chancellor (Administration) who was the erstwhile Provost of the College. She took over, in 2022, from Dr. Dan C. Anyanwu. Dr (Mrs.) Lemchi is the second female Provost of the College, after Professor Blessing C. Ijioma.
