Partha Sen (born 4 November 1951) is an Indian professor of economics, [1] associated with the Delhi School of Economics. [2] His research interests are International Trade, Macroeconomic Theory, and International Finance.
Partha Sen was born on 4 November 1951. [3] [4] In 1972, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of Delhi, and an Master of Arts in Economics in 1975. [4] In 1979, he was awarded an MSocSci in Economics by the University of Birmingham. [4] He received his PhD from the London School of Economics in 1984. [4]
Upon receiving his MA, he became a lecturer at Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. [4] He has also lectured in economics at the University of Bristol and the London School of Economics. [4]
Between 1986 and 1989, he was an assistant professor at the University of Illinois. [4] Between 1990 and 1996, he was a reader in economics at the Delhi School of Economics. [4] Since 2001, he has been a professor of economics, first at the Indian Statistical Institute and at the Delhi School of Economics. For a brief period he was also a professor at the South Asian University.
His research interests are International Trade, Macroeconomic Theory, and International Finance. His current research focuses on capital flows, [4] New Keynesian Macroeconomics, Non Competitive Trade Theory, and Environmental Economics with Capital Mobility.
He was the editor of the Indian Economic Review from 1997 to 2001 and the co-editor before that from 1994 to 1997. He has also been a member of the editorial board of Arthaniti since 2002. [5]
Delhi School of Economics (DSE), popularly referred to as "D School", is a Higher Educational Institution within the University of Delhi. The Delhi School of Economics is situated in University of Delhi's North Campus in Maurice Nagar. Established in 1949, the campus of the Delhi School of Economics houses the University of Delhi's departments of Economics, Sociology, Geography and Commerce, as well as the Ratan Tata Library. Out of the four academic departments, the Departments of Economics, Sociology and Geography come under the Faculty of Social Sciences, while the Department of Commerce comes under the Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies.
Ronald MacDonald OBE is a Scottish economist with interests in a wide range of topics in International Finance and Macroeconomics and a considerable amount of his research focuses on the economics of exchange rates and currency regime choice. He is currently Research Professor of Macroeconomics and International Finance at the Adam Smith Business School in the University of Glasgow.

Kaushik Basu is an Indian economist who was Chief Economist of the World Bank from 2012 to 2016. He is the C. Marks Professor of International Studies and Professor of Economics at Cornell University, and academic advisory board member of upcoming Plaksha University. He began a three-year term as President of the International Economic Association in June 2017. From 2009 to 2012, during the United Progressive Alliance's second term, Basu served as the Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India. Kaushik Basu is winner of the Humboldt Research Award 2021.
Mihir Rakshit is an Indian economist, known for his work on fiscal, monetary and other policy, especially issues that concern developing economies. Originally from Chittagong, which is now in Bangladesh, he did his graduation from Presidency College, Calcutta and post-graduation from the University of Calcutta. He taught at the departments of Economics of The University of Calcutta, The University of Burdwan, Presidency College Calcutta, and Indian Statistical Institute Calcutta, as faculty. He also taught at Delhi School of Economics and Erasmus University Rotterdam, as visiting faculty. He served the Reserve Bank of India for two terms as a member of its central board of Directors. He was Editor-in-chief of the open access quarterly journal Money and Finance published by ICRA Limited from 1997 to July 2016.

Deepak Nayyar is an Indian economist and academician. He is a professor of economics at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Chairperson of the Board of Governors of Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) New Delhi. He has taught at the University of Oxford, the University of Sussex, the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C), and the New School for Social Research, New York City. He was Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi from 2000 to 2005.

He is a Ph.D. at the University of Rochester and currently the Editor of South Asian Journal of Macroeconomics and Public Finance. He used to be the Director of Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta from March 2007 to March 2012 and Reserve Bank of India Chair Professor of Industrial Economics at CSSSC till September, 2019. On 15 July 2015 he took the charge as an interim Vice-Chancellor of the prestigious University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India.

José Antonio Ocampo Gaviria is a Colombian writer, economist and academic who was the professor of professional practice in international and public affairs and director of the Economic and Political Development Concentration at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University from July 2007 to August 2022. Prior to his appointment, Ocampo served in a number of positions in the United Nations and the Government of Colombia, most notably in the United Nations as Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs and Executive Secretary for the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, and in Colombia as Minister of Finance and Public Credit and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
