Pasir Ris Elias Community Club (CC), [1] was formerly known as Pasir Ris Elias Community Centre and is a central meeting place in Singapore. [2] It is the meeting ground for many residents and active volunteers, and it hosts a number of community events.
Pasir Ris Elias Community Club was completed in October, 2004, and was officially opened by Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Defence and Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency on 18 September, 2005. In 2015 and 2016, the building underwent a 14-month series of structural improvements that cost S$6.1 million and created a total space of 6,198 sq meter. [3] In October 2016, the Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean officiated at the re-opening and said he was "delighted" with the "brand-new facilities."
The club now offers cultural, educational, recreational, sports and social activities. Some of the new features started in 2016 include the indoor archery range that is wheelchair-friendly, a toy library and a cafe corner. [3] It also has a Chinese Orchestra Group, a Jazz Band and the Elias Park Football Club managed by the CC. [2] One unique new feature is the indoor toy library that was opened in June, 2016. The North East Community Toy Library @ Pasir Ris Elias Community Club is an inclusive space where children with special needs can play alongside those who are mainstreamed. There are more than 50 toys in the room and space for 30 children and their caregivers. The playroom was set up by the North East Community Development Council (CDC) and Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS). It is the first integrated toy library in Singapore. [4]
Pasir Ris is a planning area and residential town located in the East Region of Singapore. It is bordered by Tampines and Paya Lebar to the south, Sengkang to the southwest and Changi to the east. Sengkang is a planning area and residential town located in the North-East Region of Singapore. The town is the second most populous in the region, being home to 249,370 residents in 2020. Sengkang shares boundaries with Seletar and Punggol in the north, Pasir Ris and Paya Lebar in the east, Hougang and Serangoon to the south, as well as Yishun and Ang Mo Kio to the west.

The Pasir Ris–Punggol Group Representation Constituency is a five-member Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in the north-eastern region of Singapore. The constituency currently consists of Pasir Ris and parts of the Punggol town area. The GRC comprises 5 constituencies: Pasir Ris Central, Pasir Ris East, Pasir Ris West, Punggol Shore as well as Punggol Coast. The current MPs are Mohamed Sharael Taha,Desmond Tan, Teo Chee Hean, Yeo Wan Ling and Janil Puthucheary from the People's Action Party (PAP).

Michael Anthony Palmer is a Singaporean lawyer and politician who served as Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore from 2011 until his resignation in 2012. A former member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he was the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Punggol East ward of Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC between 2006 and 2011, and Punggol East SMC between 2011 and 2012.

He previously served as Minister of State for Home Affairs and Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment concurrently between 2020 and 2022. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Pasir Ris Central division of Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC since 2020.
