A pasty is a British baked pastry, a traditional variety of which is particularly associated with Cornwall, South West England, but has spread all over the British Isles. It is made by placing an uncooked filling, typically meat and vegetables, on one half of a flat shortcrust pastry circle, folding the pastry in half to wrap the filling in a semicircle and crimping the curved edge to form a seal before baking.

They originated as part of burlesque shows, providing a commercial form of bare-breasted entertainment. They are also worn as an undergarment in lieu of a bra, or visibly as a fashion accessory, and are sometimes called nipple stickers. Pasties are also, at times, used while sunbathing, worn by strippers and exotic dancers, or as a form of protest during women's rights events such as Go Topless Day. In some cases this is to avoid potential prosecution under indecency laws.

Sleep, Jr., owner of Real English Foods, Inc., based in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. Mr. Pastie is based on a traditional Welsh/Cornish recipe and has been called "the original fast food."
