Pat Cassidy (born August 28, 1985) is an American independent film producer and music manager based in Austin, Texas.
He began his career in the entertainment business in 2001, starting a small punk and ska record label in his hometown of Herndon, Virginia. [1] He produced the 2009 short horror film, Lullaby, striking a distribution deal with Fearnet. [2] He produced the psychological horror-thriller film, House Hunting , which premiered at the 2012 Virginia Film Festival. [3] He produced The Texas Chain Saw Massacre inspired script Butcher Boys for writer-producer Kim Henkel, the film premiered at the 2012 Fantasia Festival in Montreal. [4] In 2013 he produced the indie-thriller, Two Step , for director Alex Johnson, the film premiered at the SXSW film festival to positive reviews from Variety [5] and Indiewire . [6]
Cassidy previously managed the Austin, Texas-based Indie pop band Wild Child, [7] [8] and currently manages Whiskey Shivers, Ben Kweller, Trinidad James, and Holiday Mountain. Cassidy is also a co-host of the daily news podcast, Hard Factor.
Cassidy's father was first cousin with David Cassidy making him his first cousin once removed. His great aunt is Shirley Jones. [9]

South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. In 2017, the conference lasted for 10 days with the interactive track lasting for five days, music for seven days, and film for nine days. There was no in-person event in 2020 and 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Austin, Texas; both years, there was a smaller online event instead.

Exists is a 2014 American found footage monster horror film, directed by Eduardo Sánchez. The film had its world premiere on March 7, 2014 at South by Southwest and stars Chris Osborn and Samuel Davis. The story revolves around a group of friends hunted by something in the woods of East Texas. Following the darker psychological tone of Sánchez's previous film Lovely Molly, the film returns to the creature-feature horror of Altered, also written by Jamie Nash.
Geoff Marslett is an American film director, writer, producer, animator and actor. His early career started with the animated short Monkey vs. Robot which was distributed internationally by "Spike and Mike's Classic Festival of Animation" on video. and "Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation" in theatres.
