Patrick Earth Mendes is an American-Brazilian weightlifter. [1] He was the heavyweight USA national champion in 2011 [2] and 2012. [3] He was suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency for two years (began March 19, 2012) for using human growth hormone. [4] It has been reported that he tested positive for a banned substance a second time at the 2015 Pan Am Games. [5]

1999 Pan American Games International sports competition

The 1999 Pan American Games, officially the XIII Pan American Games or the 13th Pan American Games, was a major international multi-sport event that was held from July 23 to August 8, 1999, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and surrounding towns and cities. Jonathan Dwight Jones is an American professional mixed martial artist currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he has competed in the light heavyweight division. He is a former two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, holding the title from March 2011 to April 2015 and from December 2018 to August 2020. Jones also held the interim UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in 2016. As of July 4, 2022 he is #11 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.
