A first-round selection in the 1987 MLB draft, he played for the Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers. He previously was the bullpen coach and first base coach for the Red Sox and the third base coach for the Los Angeles Angels. He has also served as a manager in Minor League Baseball.

The Miami Marlins are a professional baseball team that has played in the National League since the team's founding in 1993. Andrew Junipero Fox is an American former professional baseball coach and infielder. Fox played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1996 to 2004 for the New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks, Florida Marlins, Montreal Expos, and Texas Rangers. He was a member of the 1996 World Series and 2003 World Series champions. Fox coached the Marlins from 2007 to 2009; he joined the Boston Red Sox staff in 2011, and was a coach for the team during 2022–2024.

Stanton is the Marlins' all-time home run leader and the only active player with over 400 home runs.
Robert James Leary III is an American professional baseball scout and former coach. On November 16, 2012, he was named bench coach of the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball, on the staff of new manager Mike Redmond. He had been a coaching assistant with the 2010–2011 Boston Red Sox and an instructor, catcher and manager in minor league baseball. He was fired by the Marlins on May 17, 2015.

The Miami Marlins are a Major League Baseball team that currently plays in the city of Miami. Founded in 1991 as the Florida Marlins, the Marlins began play in 1993 in the suburb of Miami Gardens, and moved to the city in 2012, becoming the Miami Marlins at that time. The Washington Nationals' 2012 season was the eighth season for the baseball franchise of Major League Baseball in the District of Columbia, the fifth season at Nationals Park, and the 44th since the original team was started in Montreal, Quebec. After finishing the previous season in third place with an 80–81 record, out of last place in the National League East for the second time since moving to Washington, the Nationals made several moves to pursue playoff contention in 2012 and beyond. Despite being plagued with injuries, the Nationals had an impressive start to the season, never dropping below the .500 mark and consistently holding first or second place in their division. On September 3, the Nationals won their 82nd game of the season, making this season their first winning season since moving to Washington, D.C., in 2005 and the first for the franchise since 2003. On September 20, the Nationals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to clinch the franchise's first postseason berth since 1981, as well as their first in a non-strike shortened season, and the first for a Washington-based team since the Washington Senators won the American League pennant in 1933. On October 1, the Nationals clinched the National League East title. On October 3, they went on to clinch the best record in Major League Baseball at 98–64. They played the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS, which they lost three games to two.
The 2013 Toronto Blue Jays season was the 37th season of Major League Baseball's Toronto Blue Jays franchise, and the 24th full season of play at the Rogers Centre. Despite high expectations heading into the season, the Blue Jays finished 74–88, in last place in the American League East.
Mark David Canha is an American professional baseball outfielder and first baseman who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, and San Francisco Giants. Canha made his MLB debut in 2015.
The 2017 Miami Marlins season was the 25th season for the Major League Baseball (MLB) Marlins franchise, all in the National League, and the sixth as the "Miami" Marlins. The Marlins played their home games at Marlins Park and hosted the 2017 MLB All-Star Game. The Marlins were managed by Don Mattingly in his second season as manager of the team. They finished the season 77–85 to finish in second place, 20 games behind the Washington Nationals, in the National League East. They failed to make the playoffs for the 14th consecutive season.
The Miami Marlins' 2018 season was the 26th season for the Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise in the National League and the seventh as the "Miami" Marlins. Don Mattingly was the manager of the Marlins for a third year. The Marlins played their home games at Marlins Park as members of the National League East. They failed to make the playoffs for the 15th consecutive season.
