Patricia C. Mwashingwele (1968-2019) was a Zambian politician, Member of Parliament for Katuba Constituency.
Patricia Mwashingwele was born on 30th September 1968. [1] Her mother was a teacher, [2] and she was a teacher before becoming a member of Parliament. [1]
After the 2011 general elections, Mwashingwele was the deputy president of Frank Bwalya's Alliance for Better Zambia party. Though the couple fell out and Bwalya fired her, he expressed continued regard for her:
She never lived in the past. So even though I fired her, it didn’t affect our strong personal relationship. She was my area MP and chairlady of our small Christian community. She taught me to be mature and loving even to those on the opposite side of politics. She indeed became my sister. I maintained a cordial relationship with her and greatly respected her because, despite our political differences and fallout, she kept wishing me well and said good things about me to many people. [2]
In the 2016 Zambian general election Mwashingwele was elected to the National Assembly, as the UPND candidate for Katuba. She beat the incumbent Jonas Shakafuswa, who had left UPND to stand on the Patriotic Front ticket. [3]
Mwashingwele died on May 2, 2019, [4] at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka. She was buried in Katuba. [2]

Given Lubinda is a Zambian politician who served in the Cabinet of Zambia as Minister of Justice. He is a former Member of Parliament for the National Assembly of Zambia for Kabwata Constituency in Lusaka. He was first elected as Kabwata MP in 2001 under the UPND ticket and was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2012 to 2013. Following the retirement of Edgar Lungu from active politics, Given Lubinda is the current acting president of the former ruling party, the Patriotic Front as of 2021. Lubinda is of mixed-race parentage. He is known as an outspoken politician.

General elections were held in Zambia on 11 August 2016 to elect the President and National Assembly. A constitutional referendum was held alongside the elections, with proposals to amend the bill of rights and Article 79.
Christine Kaseba is a Zambian physician, surgeon and politician who served as the First Lady of Zambia from September 2011 until her husband's death in October 2014. She is the widow of former President Michael Sata, who died in office on October 28, 2014. Kaseba made an unsuccessful bid for President of Zambia in the January 2015 special presidential election to succeed her husband. She was appointed Zambian Ambassador to France on April 16, 2018.
Edgar Chagwa Lungu is a Zambian politician who served as the sixth president of Zambia from 25 January 2015 to 24 August 2021. Under President Michael Sata, Lungu served as Minister of Justice and Minister of Defence. Following Sata's death in October 2014, Lungu was adopted as the candidate of the Patriotic Front in a Convention of the Patriotic Front in Kabwe, for the January 2015 presidential by-election, which was to determine who would serve out the remainder of Sata's term. In the election, he narrowly defeated opposition candidate Hakainde Hichilema and took office on 25 January 2015.
Irene Chirwa Mambilima was the Chief Justice of Zambia from 2015 until her death in 2021. Her other international assignments included serving as Sessional Judge of the Supreme Court of The Gambia in 2003. Mambilima sat on the International Board of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) as a Director of the Africa Region. She was also a member of several professional associations including the Zambia Association of Women Judges, the Editorial Board Council of Law Reporting, the Child Fund (Zambia), Women in Law Southern Africa, and the Council of the Institution of Advanced Legal Education.
Charlotte Harland Scott is a British-born Zambian economic and social development specialist who served as the First Lady of Zambia from October 2014 to January 2015 during the tenure of her husband, interim President Guy Scott. She had previously served as the Chief of Social Policy and Economic Analysis, Planning Monitoring and Evaluation for UNICEF Zambia from 2007 until 2012. In 2016, Scott contested the Lusaka Central seat in the National Assembly during the general election.

Edgar Lungu took the oath alongside Inonge Wina as Vice-President of Zambia. The day of the inauguration was set as a public holiday in Zambia and Monday September 12 as a half working day.
