Patricia Obila is a Nigerian politician who is serving as the deputy governor of Ebonyi State since 29 May 2023. A native of Nkpoghoro,Afikpo,she has served as the vice chairman of Afikpo North local government area for two terms. [1]
Abia State is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria,it is bordered to the north and northeast by the states of Enugu,and Ebonyi,Imo State to the west,Cross River State to the east,Akwa Ibom State to the southeast,and Rivers State to the south. Akanu Ibiam International Airport,also known as Enugu Airport,is an airport serving Enugu,the capital city of Enugu State of Nigeria,and nearby cities,such as Abakaliki,Awka,Onitsha,Nnewi,Afikpo,Okigwe,Nsukka,Ugep,Orlu,Idah,Otukpo and Ogoja. The airport is named after the late Akanu Ibiam (1906–1995),a medical doctor and statesman who hailed from Afikpo in Ebonyi State.

The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Ebonyi State will be held on 25 February 2023,to elect the 3 federal Senators from Ebonyi State,one from each of the state's three senatorial districts. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election,as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives;with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.
