Paul Brennan is a Canadian musician. As a drummer, Brennan has been a member of Big Electric Cat, the Animal Slaves, Odds [1] and Big Sugar. [2] He has also contributed as a guest musician on albums by Meryn Cadell, Sarah McLachlan, Taste of Joy, Julie Ann Bertram and Mae Moore. He is currently playing with Alannah Myles and Ellis Meek and performing locally in Toronto.

Career

Brennan was a founding member of the Vancouver band Odds in 1987; the same musicians also performed cover tunes locally under the name Dawn Patrol. [3] Odds recorded their first album, Neapolitan, in 1991; a single from the album, "Love is the Subject", appeared on local radio charts. [4] In 1992 the band toured as the backup band for American rock singer Warren Zevon. [5]

By 1994, Brennan had left the Odds, although he continued to perform in Dawn Patrol. [6] He contributed percussion to Mae Moore's 1995 album Dragonfly. [7]

Brennan moved to Toronto and joined the band Big Sugar in 1996. [8] He was the drummer for their album Hemi-Vision, which was nominated for a Juno Award in 1997. [9] The band toured in western Canada in support of the album. [10]

In 1997 Brennan drummed on Meryn Cadell's album Blocks 6. [11]

Brennan performed with Luke Doucet as part of the NXNE festival in Toronto in 2002. [12] He was the drummer for Doucet's 2004 album Outlaws [13] [14]

In 2018 Brennan continues to perform locally in Toronto with the band The Two Fours [15] and hosts an open mic at the Relish Bar and Grill. [16]

Chris Wardman is a Canadian music producer, musician and songwriter. Wardman was a founding member of Blue Peter, and was their lead guitarist and main contributing songwriter. Wardman was also a member of Breeding Ground in the late 1980s. Wardman has been actively producing albums for many Canadian acts, including Chalk Circle, Leslie Spit Treeo, Randy Bachman and Emm Gryner. Wardman produced two albums for Art Bergmann, including Sexual Roulette in 1990. Meryn Cadell's most recent new release, 1997's 6 Blocks, was produced by Wardman, for which he hired, among others, former bandmate Jason Sniderman, and he performed on the album as well. The Watchmen credit Wardman with discovering them while playing at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, and he produced their debut album, McLaren Furnace Room, which was certified gold in Canada in 1996. In his review of the album on Allmusic, Roch Parisien complimented Wardman's mix of the album for how he balanced lead singer Danny Greaves' vocals with the music production.

The AC/DC Club Dates/Rolling Stones Tour was a series of concerts done by the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. The band was a support act for the Rolling Stones' Licks Tour in Germany, but also performed together in Toronto, Canada.

Caitlin Hanford is an American and Canadian country and bluegrass singer and a music teacher. She is a member of the group Quartette and also the band The Marigolds. She is the ex-wife of musician Chris Whiteley.
