Paul Henderson (born Mai 23, 1956) is a retired American-French professional basketball player.

Career

Henderson, a 6’7 (2.01 m) forward, [1] played college basketball at Butte College and won Two-time California small schools Junior College Player of the Year honors. [2] In 1976, he transferred to the University of Southern California. [3] Seeing action in 26 games of the 1976–77 season, Henderson averaged 11.8 points and 7 rebounds per contest for USC. [1]

He played for Élan béarnais Orthez in France from 1979 to 1991 and for Montpellier from 1991 to 1993. Playing under American head coach George Fisher at Orthez, Henderson won the European competition FIBA Korać Cup in 1984, scoring 20 points in the championship game against Red Star Belgrade, [4] as well as the French national championship in 1986 and in 1987. [5] With an average of 27.2 points per contest, Henderson was the leading scorer of the French league in the 1980–81 campaign. [6] He left Orthez as the leading scorer in club history. [7]

After his retirement, Henderson served as an assistant coach at Pau-Orthez until 2012. [8] He is married to a French woman and was granted French nationality. [9]

Edward Murphy is a retired American professional basketball player. He was a 6'4" shooting guard-small forward. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, he played basketball at Marist High School. He opted in 1974 for the academic team of Merrimack College, where he stayed until 1978, twice finishing as NCAA II runner-up. Top scorer of the Merrimack team, Murphy was drafted in 1978 by the Atlanta Hawks, in the 8th round. He never played in the NBA, instead landing in Europe. He first played the Netherlands in the B.O.B. Rotterdam (1978–79) and then in Belgium with RC Mechelen with which he led the team to the Belgian title.

The 2016–17 Pro A season was the 95th season of the Pro A, the top basketball league in France organised by the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB). The season started on 24 September 2016 and ended on 24 June 2017.

Derrick Raymond Lewis is an American-French former professional basketball player. A Tarboro, North Carolina native, he played high school basketball at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C., where he was a McDonald's All-American as a senior in 1984. He then played in college with the Maryland Terrapins, staying for 4 years; he was a first-team All-ACC selection and an Honorable mention All-American as a junior in 1987, and a second-team All-ACC selection as a senior in 1988. As of 2020 he is the program's all-time leader in blocks and ranks third in rebounds. He was drafted in the third round of the 1988 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls, but he did not play in the NBA.
