Paul Leroy Porter (born August 20, 1962) is an American gospel musician. He started his solo music career, in 2008, with the release of, A New Day, that was released by Light Records. His second album, F.R.E.E., was released in 2014, with the backing of Motown Gospel releasing the project. These albums both charted on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.

Early life

Porter was born on August 20, 1962, as Paul Leroy Porter, [1] to father Reverend Eddie Porter and mother, Ora Porter. [2] He grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and started singing at the age of three on Easter Sunday. [2]

Music career

He was a part of The Christianaires, who were founded in the late 1980s by him and his brother along with his cousins. He departed the group to start his solo career in 2008, with the release of A New Day on September 30, 2008, by Light Records. [3] This album charted on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart at No. 21. [4] Cross Rhythms' rated the album an eight out of ten. [5] His subsequent album, F.R.E.E., was released by Motown Gospel on September 2, 2014. [6] The album charted on the Gospel Albums chart at No. 33. [4]

Ricky Rydell Dillard is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 1987, as a Chicago house musician. His first Christian music album was Promise, by Muscle Shoals Records. His next album, A Holy Ghost Take-Over, was released in 1993 by Malaco Records. The subsequent album, Hallelujah, was released by them in 1995. Crystal Spring Records released, 1996's Work It Out, 2000's No Limit, and Unplugged in 2004. With EMI Gospel, he released, 7th Episode, that came out in 2007. He released, Keep Living, with Light Records in 2011. His next release, Amazing, came out in 2014 with Entertainment One Music.

Sheri Jones-Moffett, is an American gospel musician. She started her music career, in 1992, with the Tri City Singers, which was a group assembled and led by Donald Lawrence. Her solo career got started in 2009 with Renewed that was released by EMI Gospel. She got a Grammy Award nomination for Renewed at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in the Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album category. She released the second album, Power & Authority, in 2014 by Motown Gospel. These albums both chart on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.

Maurette Brown Clark, is an American gospel musician. She started her solo music career in 1998 with the release of How I Feel on Verity Records. The Christianaires was an American black gospel music group from Sontag, Mississippi, they were active from 1989 until 2004. At its inception, The group consisted of two sibling pairs, two brothers, Arnold and Ronald Brown, and two more brothers, Paul and Tyrone Porter. Later on with the subtraction of Paul Porter and Ronald Brown, the group added George Carter and Charles Porter. They released ten albums with various labels during their tenure, and those were 1989's Walking with Me, 1990's Ain't No Way I Could and Another Step Forward, 1993's The Vision Becomes Clearer, 1995's Thru the Storm and Reaching Out, 1997's Saints Hold On, 1998's Standing Room Only, 2001's Thank You, and 2004's Stand Up! Live. The group's albums Another Step Forward, The Vision Becomes Clearer, Standing Room Only, and Thank You charted on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.

His fifth album Crazy Like Love, and sixth album, Love Like Crazy, was released on the same date in 2007. His seventh album, The Best of Melvin Williams, was released in 2009. Douglas LeAllen Williams is an American music artist. He started his solo music career, in 1995, with the release of gospel album, Heartsongs, that was released by Blackberry Records. The album got him a Grammy Award nomination at the 38th Annual Grammy Awards for the Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album. His second album, When Mercy Found Me, was released in 2003, with the backing of Blackberry Records releasing the project. His third album, Good Graces, was released in 2005 by Orchard Records. The first two of these album charted on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.

Natalie Wilson, is an American gospel musician and artist. She started her music career, in 2000, with the release of Girl Director by Interscope Records. Charles C. Jenkins II is an American gospel musician in. He started his music career, in 2012, with the release of The Best of Both Worlds by Inspired People and EMI Gospel. This would be his Billboard magazine breakthrough release. His second album, Any Given Sunday, was released by Inspired People and Motown Gospel in 2015. The album again placed on the Billboard magazine charts.

Milbert E.S. McKenzie, who goes by the stage name Doc McKenzie, is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 1990, with six album releases, that was released by Atlanta International Records, Savoy Records, and Meltone Records. Milbert released three albums of note, Ride with Jesus in 1996 with First Lite Records, 1998's Live again with First Lite, and 2009's Renewed with Ophir Records, which all of these albums charted on the Billboard magazine charts, exclusively on the Gospel Albums chart.

Her solo music career began in 2014, and has since released one studio album with Gee Tree Creative, where it charted on the Billboard magazine chart. She released her second studio album, It's Still Personal on September 29, 2017.
