Paul Anthony Ronan (born 21 March 1965) is an Irish actor.

Early Life

Paul Anthony Ronan was born on 21 March 1965 in Manchester, son of Thomas "Tommy" Ronan and Una Carson. [1]

Career

In 1995, Ronan's acting career started. Ronan has been a regular performer in TV and films since the mid-'90s, notably as Edso Dowling in the Ballykissangel TV series; [2] [3] other TV appearances include Rebel Heart and The Tudors .

Personal life

In 1992, Paul Anthony Ronan married Monica Brennan.

They have one daughter, Saoirse Ronan, who has been acting professionally since 2003. [4] [5]

Ballykissangel is a BBC television drama created by Kieran Prendiville and set in Ireland, produced in-house by BBC Northern Ireland. The original story revolved around a young English Roman Catholic priest as he became part of a rural community.
