Paulina Susana Rubio Dosamantes is a Mexican singer, songwriter, actress, model and businesswoman. Born in Mexico City, she first achieved recognition as a member of the successful pop group Timbiriche from 1982 through 1991, where she stood out as one of the main members. After leaving Timbiriche, she embarked on a solo career. Referred to as the "Queen of Latin Pop", Rubio is regarded as a pop icon and is credited with influencing the revival of Latin pop during the 2000s.
