Peggy Chabrian

Peggy Chabrian (born 1954) is an American aviation educator, and founder of Women in Aviation International (WAI). [1] [2]

Career

Chabrian began her professional career in higher education as a university professor and administrator, specializing in aviation-related academic programs. [3] She later became a certified flight instructor and served as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) designated pilot examiner. [4] In 1994, she established Women in Aviation International (WAI), a nonprofit organization focused on supporting women in aviation and aerospace. [5]

Recognition

In 2024, Chabrian was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame. [6]
