Penn Masala is an American a cappella group. It is the world's first and premier South Asian a cappella group. Formed in 1996 by students at the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Masala's music has been influenced by the Eastern and Western cultures that represent the group's membership. The group was featured on the soundtrack of American Desi, and has released twelve full-length albums: Awaaz, 11 PM, Soundcheck, The Brown Album, Pehchaan, On Detours, Panoramic, Kaavish, Resonance,Yuva, Musafir, Midnight Oil, an EP titled Vol. 1 and the compilation album Out of Stock. The group has performed at the White House.
Narendra Krishna Karmarkar is an Indian mathematician. Karmarkar developed Karmarkar's algorithm. He is listed as an ISI highly cited researcher.
Karmarkar's algorithm is an algorithm introduced by Narendra Karmarkar in 1984 for solving linear programming problems. It was the first reasonably efficient algorithm that solves these problems in polynomial time. The ellipsoid method is also polynomial time but proved to be inefficient in practice.

Located 18 kms from on Alibaug-Rewas Road, Maharashtra, India, is a museum where sculptors made by Late Mr. Nanasaheb Karmarkar are displayed in his own bungalow. Ekk Nayi Pehchaan is an Indian television drama series which premiered on Sony TV on 23 December 2013. The series cast veteran Bollywood actresses Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure along with Krystle D'Souza and Karan Sharma.
