The play premiered in the Lyttelton Theatre at the National Theatre, London on 31 October 2012, running until 5 March 2013. The production was directed by Nicholas Hytner and designed by Bob Crowley and starred Frances de la Tour, Nicholas le Prevost, Peter Egan and Linda Bassett in the cast. The play was captured by National Theatre Live and broadcast to cinemas worldwide on 21 March 2013. [1] [2] [3]
A UK tour starring Siân Phillips, Brigit Forsyth and Selina Cadell opened at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 3 to 21 September, before touring to Leicester Curve (24 to 28 September), Norwich Theatre Royal (1 – 5 October), Lowry Theatre, Salford (15 to 19 October), Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury (22 to 26 October), Milton Keynes Theatre (29 October to 2 November), Leeds Grand Theatre (5 to 9 November) ending at Plymouth Theatre Royal (12 to 16 November). The Duke of York's Theatre is a West End theatre in St Martin's Lane, in the City of Westminster, London. Designed by the architect Walter Emden, it opened on 10 September 1892 as the Trafalgar Square Theatre, and was renamed to Trafalgar Theatre in 1894. It is a fictionalised biographical study of the latter half of the reign of George III of the United Kingdom, his battle with mental illness, and the inability of his court to handle his condition. It was adapted for film in 1994 as The Madness of King George.

One Man, Two Guvnors is a play by Richard Bean, an English adaptation of Servant of Two Masters, a 1743 Commedia dell'arte style comedy play by the Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni. The play replaces the Italian period setting of the original with Brighton in 1963. The play opened at the National Theatre in 2011, toured in the UK and then opened in the West End in November 2011, with a subsequent Broadway opening in April 2012. The second tour was launched six months later, playing the UK, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. The second UK production in London closed in March 2014, before a third tour of the UK began in May 2014.
