The Per Wendel Award (Per Wendel-priset) is a Swedish award given to a journalist by the newspaper Expressen . The award money sum is 75,000 (SEK). The award is given annually in the memory of Swedish journalist Per Wendel (1947-2005) who worked for Expressen from 1973 primarily as a domestic policy reporter. [1] [2]

Wendel was the main investigative journalist who told about the Ebbe Carlsson affair, which forced the then justice-minister Anna-Greta Leijon to resign. After Wendels funeral after his death from cancer in 2005, Expressen started the Per Wendel-pris an annual award for investigative journalists.

Top ModelCurves is the second Scandinavian edition of Top Model. The series sees a number of plus-size aspiring models from Denmark, Norway and Sweden. They competed against each other in a variety of challenges to determine who will win title of the next "top model" of Scandinavia along a lucrative modelling contract, and other prizes in the hope of a successful future in the modeling industry. The series was presented by Danish singer and songwriter Lina Rafn, Norwegian fashion journalist and television personality Janka Polliani, and Swedish fashion stylist Jonas Hallberg.

Magda Gad Swedish war correspondent

Magda Gad is a Swedish war correspondent and Middle Eastern analyst. She has been a correspondent for the Swedish media outlet Expressen since 2015. Gad came to international prominence in June 2016 by covering the assault on Mosul in Iraq, where she reported the war against ISIS.

Björkénska priset is a scientific award given by Uppsala University. It is awarded for outstanding research in science and the theoretical branches of medicine. The prize was established in 1893 from a donation given by university lecturer John Björkén (1833-1893). Björkén was a physician and medical assistant professor in surgery and obstetrics at Uppsala. The prize was first awarded in 1902 on the day of his death.

The Lenin Award is a Swedish cultural award that is given out annually by Lasse Diding to a writer or artist in Sweden who operates with social criticism and in a rebellious leftist tradition. 2009–2015, the Lenin Award was called "Jan Myrdal's great prize – the Lenin Award". In 2016, the award was called “the Jan Myrdal Library’s big prize – the Lenin Award”.
