Lawrence Welk was an American accordionist, bandleader, and television impresario, who hosted The Lawrence Welk Show from 1951 to 1982. His style came to be known as "champagne music" to his radio, television, and live-performance audiences.

Repeat episodes are broadcast in the United States by Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) stations. The 93rd United States Congress was a meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, composed of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. It met in Washington, D.C., from January 3, 1973, to January 3, 1975, during the last 18 months of Richard Nixon's presidency, and the first 6 months of Gerald Ford's. This Congress was the first Congress with more than two Senate presidents. After the resignation of Spiro Agnew, Gerald Ford was appointed under the authority of the newly ratified 25th Amendment. Ford became president the next year and Nelson Rockefeller was appointed in his place. The apportionment of seats in the House of Representatives was based on the 1970 United States census. Both chambers had a Democratic majority. This is the earliest Congress to feature a member of the 117th Congress, Representative Don Young (R-AK), who served until he died in 2022.

Rolland William Redlin was a U.S. Representative from North Dakota, who served between 1965 and 1967. He also served in the North Dakota Senate from 1959 to 1963 and later returned to serve again from 1973 until his retirement in 2000, as Senate President Pro Tempore 1987–9, and Minority Leadership later during his final 27 years' service. A member of the Democratic-NPL, he lived near Minot, North Dakota until 2009, when he moved to Rapid City, SD, to be closer to family members.

Leidyosuchus is an extinct genus of alligatoroid from the Late Cretaceous of Alberta. It was named in 1907 by Lawrence Lambe, and the type species is L. canadensis. It is known from a number of specimens from the middle Campanian age Dinosaur Park Formation. It was a medium-sized alligatorid, with a maximum skull length greater than 40 centimeters (16 in).

Lawrence R. Klemin is an American politician and lawyer in the state of North Dakota. He is a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, representing the 47th district. A Republican, he was first elected in 1998. Klemin attended the University of North Dakota where earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, and the University of North Dakota School of Law. Admitted to the bar in 1978, he later worked as an attorney in the practice Bucklin, Klemin and McBride. Klemin is also a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army's 101st Airborne Division.
