Peter Donald Blaxell is a retired justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He was appointed to the Supreme Court bench on 2 February 2005 and retired on 25 February 2011. [1] Before his appointment as a Supreme Court justice, Blaxell was a judge of the District Court of Western Australia for 14 years, [2] having joined that court in February 1991. [1] From December 2012 [3] to January 2016, he was the chair of the Perth Theatre Trust. [4] He is the brother of Tom Blaxell. [5]
At the 1989 Western Australian state election, Blaxell was the Liberal Party's candidate for the electoral district of Maylands. He was also the Liberal Party's candidate for the 1988 Ascot state by-election.
Daryl Robert Williams is a former Australian politician who was a member of the House of Representatives from 1993 to 2004, representing the Liberal Party. He was Attorney-General in the Howard government from 1996 to 2003.
The Supreme Court of New South Wales is the highest state court of the Australian State of New South Wales. The Federal Court of Australia is an Australian superior court of record which has jurisdiction to deal with most civil disputes governed by federal law, along with some summary and indictable criminal matters. Cases are heard at first instance mostly by single judges. In cases of importance, a Full Court comprising three judges can be convened upon determination by the Chief Justice. The Court also has appellate jurisdiction, which is mostly exercised by a Full Court comprising three judges, the only avenue of appeal from which lies to the High Court of Australia. In the Australian court hierarchy, the Federal Court occupies a position equivalent to the supreme courts of each of the states and territories. In relation to the other courts in the federal stream, it is superior to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia for all jurisdictions except family law. It was established in 1976 by the Federal Court of Australia Act.
Kevin Fredrick O'Leary QC was the second Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory. He was appointed to that position on 12 September 1985 after James Muirhead had acted in the position following the relocation to Perth of the Territory's first Chief Justice William Forster earlier that year.

Edward Picton "Ted" Mullighan, QC was an Australian judge who was known as an Indigenous rights advocate and protecting vulnerable people. He was known for his role as Commissioner of the Government of South Australia' Children in State Care Commission of Inquiry from 2004 to 2008.
Peter David McClellan is a retired judge of the New South Wales Court of Appeal who served between February 2013 and February 2018. McClellan was the Chief Royal Commissioner of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse from January 2013 to December 2017. He was previously the Chief Judge in Common Law in the Supreme Court, a position to which he was appointed in 2005.
Peter Wolstenholme Young is a retired Australian judge who served as a judge on the Supreme Court of New South Wales for 27 years, retiring in 2012.
James Jacob Spigelman is a former Australian judge who served as Chief Justice of New South Wales from 1998 to 2011. He was also Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales from 1998 to 2012. He served on the Court of Final Appeal of Hong Kong as a non-permanent judge from other common law jurisdictions from April 2013 to his early resignation in September 2020. Spigelman also served as chairman of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 2012 to 2017.
Christine Ann Wheeler is a former judge in the Supreme Court of Western Australia, from 1996 to 2005. From 2005 to 2010, she was an inaugural judge of the Court of Appeal. She retired from the Supreme Court on 25 February 2010.
Michael Laurence Barker is a former Australian judge who served as a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia from 9 February 2009 to 11 February 2019. He previously served as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and as President of the Western Australian State Administrative Tribunal.

James Joshua Edelman has been a justice of the High Court of Australia since 30 January 2017, and is a former justice of the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He is noted for his various achievements at a young age, including becoming a professor at Oxford University before the age of 35 and a justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia before the age of 40. He was 43 years old upon commencing his appointment on the High Court and is eligible to continue until reaching the constitutionally required retirement age of 70 in 2044.
