Peter Costa (born 5 August 1984) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Mumbai City FC in the Indian Super League.
Costa started his career with Salgaocar before joining fellow I-League side Mumbai for two seasons.
In 2014, Costa was signed by Mumbai City FC for the inaugural season of the Indian Super League. [1] He made his debut for Mumbai City during the first ever Indian Super League game ever against Atlético de Kolkata at the Salt Lake Stadium where Mumbai City were defeated 3–0. [2]

This season was also the first in which the club was coached by the Costarican Alexandre Guimarães, replacing Nicolas Anelka who served as player-coach the previous season. They finished first in the standings after the ending of the league season, qualifying for the semifinals for the very first time led by Diego Forlán who was their marquee player. However they lost in the semifinals to Atletico de Kolkata 1-5 on aggregate.
