Peter Francis Dante (born December 16, 1968) is an American character actor, comedian and singer. He frequently appeared in films from Happy Madison Productions alongside Adam Sandler.
Dante's roles are usually alongside Jonathan Loughran and/or Allen Covert. He played Peter in Little Nicky . In Grandma's Boy he played Dante. He played a lawyer named Tommy in Adam Sandler's movie Big Daddy . He played the quarterback Gee Grenouille in The Waterboy and Murph "Murphy" in Mr. Deeds . He played a security guard in 50 First Dates .
Dante was an actor and producer for the film Grandma's Boy . In the film, Dante played a zany drug dealer with a pet chimpanzee, lion and elephant. He played a firefighter in the film I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry , and Danny Guiterrez in Strange Wilderness . He also played the role of Steve Spirou's son in Adam Sandler's 2012 film That's My Boy .
His final work with Sandler, was the 2013 Grown Ups 2 .
On September 19, 2013, after the release of Grown Ups 2, Dante was checking into L.A. hotel. He got kicked out, after saying the n-word to the staffer. TMZ, later revealed that Dante was upset because he wanted a new key room, and was not happy that the staffer did not recognize him as an actor. Due to the incident, he has not appeared in any Happy Madison films since then. On September 19, 2020, Dante was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday at 9:40 A.M. with a felony charge after an altercation with his neighbor. He was booked in Los Angeles county jail and was released that night after posting a $50,000 bond. According to the reports, Dante was bothered by loud noises from construction work being done at a neighbor's residence and allegedly "threatened to kill" his neighbor and harm his wife and kids. [1] On January 4, 2022, Dante was caught by TMZ, for yelling a waitress, due to not having any service. He didn't get service, due to not wearing a mask during COVID-19.
Dante is also a musician and singer/songwriter. He recorded with Adam Sandler and Buck Simmonds. He is a member of the music group Rad Omen along with Dirt Nasty, DJ Troublemaker, Steven Laing and Benji Madden. In 2011 he released his debut album Peace, Love and Freedom. He also appeared in a music video with Afroman in 2015. As of 2020, his most popular songs are "Dirty Road" and "My Purple Tree And Me" a collaboration with indie artist Shadoe.
Dante spent a post-graduate year (1987-1988) at Fork Union Military Academy playing football and lacrosse. [2] He stated in an interview that "It was a good experience going down South". [3]
He is a graduate of Hofstra University, where he played lacrosse. He was an assistant coach for the lacrosse team at Loyola Marymount University for the 2011 season and has coached many club teams, including the Riptide lacrosse team, that made it to the state championships. [4]

Canteen Boy is a recurring Saturday Night Live character played by Adam Sandler. Canteen Boy is a naive, childlike assistant scoutmaster with an acute attention to detail. He is always seen with a full scout's uniform and a canteen around his neck. Canteen Boy is routinely mocked by other characters in the sketch, who are well aware that their jokes will be lost on the character. It appears he lacks self-confidence, such as in one instance when he is called an idiot, he responds by calling the bully an idiot in return, only to claim he said nothing when the bully threatens him. His revenge toward these bullies often ties into his skills as an outdoorsman. Canteen Boy is a master at snake-calling, and he enjoys the television show Seaquest. He has also said in passing that he very much admires Cheryl Tiegs. A sketch would often end with either Canteen Boy finding a snake or his tormentors having to run away from a sudden onslaught of snakes. Sandler later stated that there is nothing wrong with Canteen Boy, rather he is "someone who has been in the Scouts too long". Although the word 'boy' in the character's name suggests he's a child, it has been made clear that Canteen Boy is actually a 27-year-old man who still lives with his mom and is still active in the Boy Scouts. Since he is overage to be an active Scout, he is actually a Scout leader. However this was contradicted in a brief bit where Chris Farley plays a fellow Scout, and it is assumed Farley was meant to be a teenager.
