Peter Kostis

Peter Kostis (born December 23, 1947, in Sanford, Maine) is an American golf analyst and instructor. [1]

Among his many students are Paul Casey, Chez Reavie, Bernhard Langer, Steve Elkington, Dan Marino, Maury Povich, and Mike Schmidt. He has the Peter Kostis Learning Academy at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. [2] Kostis also was the instructor who coached Kevin Costner in the film Tin Cup, also appearing as himself in a speaking role.

In 1992, Kostis joined CBS Sports as an on-course reporter and golf analyst. In addition to his CBS duties, he was the lead golf analyst for the USA Network from 1989 to 2004. Kostis, alongside Gary McCord, was not brought back for the 2020 golf broadcast team for CBS.

Kostis attended The University of New Hampshire on a football scholarship. [3]

After winding down his career playing golf, Weiskopf became a noted golf course architect. He was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2023 and was inducted on June 10, 2024.

Robert Daniel Clampett Jr. is an American television golf analyst, golf course architect, writer, and professional golfer, who played on the PGA Tour from 1980 to 1995. Clampett began playing on the Champions Tour in April 2010.

The Tommy Bahama Challenge was a golf event on the PGA Tour's "Challenge Season," a slate of Tour events that do not count towards the PGA's official money season. It was held at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, and lasted for only two years.

While it considered invoking an option to opt out of its broadcast television contracts in 2017, the PGA Tour ultimately decided against doing so. Golf Channel has served as the pay television rightsholder of the PGA Tour since 2007, and its current contract will also expire in 2021. Under the contracts, CBS broadcasts weekend coverage for an average of 20 events per-season, and NBC broadcasts weekend coverage for an average of 10 events per-season. The 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship was a golf tournament contested from May 27 – June 1 at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was the 83rd NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. The team championship was won by the Texas Longhorns who won their fourth national championship by defeating the Arizona State Sun Devils in the championship match play round 3–2. The individual national championship was won by Gordon Sargent from Vanderbilt University.

The 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship was a golf tournament contested from May 26–31 at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was the 84th NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. It included both team and individual championships.

The 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship was contested May 19–24 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was the 41st annual tournament to establish the national champions of the 2023 season in NCAA Division I women's collegiate golf. The tournament was hosted by the Arizona State University & The Thunderbirds. There are both team and individual championships.
