Peter Preiser is chair of the School of Biological Sciences and a professor of molecular genetics and cell biology at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He specialises in the study of the malaria parasite [1] [2] and is head of the team at NTU that has discovered a route to a possible vaccine for the disease. [3] [4]

Daniela Bargellini Rhodes FRS is an Italian structural and molecular biologist. She was a senior scientist at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, England, where she worked, and later studied for her PhD under the supervision of Nobel laureate Aaron Klug. Continuing her work under the tutelage of Aaron Klug at Cambridge, she was appointed group leader in 1983, obtained tenure in 1987 and was promoted to senior scientist in 1994. Subsequently, she served as director of studies between 2003 and 2006. She has also been visiting professor at both "La Sapienza" in Rome, Italy and the Rockefeller University in NY, USA.

The World Cultural Council had its 30th award ceremony on 2 October 2013 at Nanyang Auditorium, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The ceremony co-organized by host NTU was the opening event of the Times Higher Education World Academic Summit. Ms. Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Education was the guest of honor of the event. Assistant Professor Lok Tat Seng, Director of the Students of NTU acted as Master of Ceremonies, and renown Singaporean pianist, Mr. Lim Yan, performed a few musical compositions before the ceremony and during an intermission.

He has been a Highly Cited Researcher, and a Distinguished Lecturer for both IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (2016-2017) and Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association. Deepak Gaur was an Indian molecular biologist, and a professor at the School of Biotechnology of Jawaharlal Nehru University. Known for his studies on Plasmodium falciparum, Gaur is a recipient of the N-Bios Prize. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the highest Indian science awards, for his contributions to medical sciences in 2017.

Peter Gottfried Kremsner is a specialist in tropical medicine and Full Professor at the University of Tübingen, Germany. Since 1992 he has been leading the Centre de Recherches Médicales de Lambaréné (CERMEL), Gabon, now as president.

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is the medical school of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The school was established in 2010 as Singapore's third medical school, after the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Duke–NUS Medical School. It started as a joint degree collaboration between Nanyang Technological University and Imperial College London which is scheduled to end in 2028, following which students will receive an NTU degree.

Yeo Kiat Seng is a Singaporean academic and IEEE Fellow known for his contributions to low-power Integrated Circuit (IC) design.
