Peter Noel Rees (born 5 May 1932) is a Welsh former amateur footballer, who played as an inside forward in the Football League for Tranmere Rovers. [1] [2] [3]
Tranmere Rovers Football Club is a professional association football club based in Birkenhead, Merseyside, England. The team compete in League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system. Founded in 1884 as Belmont Football Club, they adopted their current name in 1885. Tranmere's regular kit is an all-white strip with blue trim, their main colours since 1962. The club moved to its current home, Prenton Park, in 1912. In 1995, the ground had a major redevelopment in response to the Taylor Report. It now seats 16,567 in four stands: the Main Stand, the Kop, the Johnny King Stand and the Cowshed.
Raymond Mathias is an English football coach and former player. He has spent most of his career in the lower leagues of English football. Mathias played for Tranmere Rovers between 1964 and 1985, and remains their record appearance holder having played 637 games for the club. After his retirement he spent three years as manager of Wigan Athletic, briefly returning to the role for the 1998–99 season; between these two spells he returned to Tranmere as a coach, and later managed the side before moving on to Chester City in a caretaker role. He was appointed interim manager of Stockport County on 9 March 2011 until the end of the season, when County were relegated from the Football League for the first time in 106 years. Owing in part to an impressive home record, Mathias was appointed full-time County manager in May 2011, but departed just two weeks later following the takeover of the club by Tony Evans.
Tranmere Rovers Ladies Football Club are an English team founded in 1990, based in the Wirral, and affiliated with Tranmere Rovers F.C. Between 1996 and 2004 they competed in the FA Premier League National Division, then the top tier of the English women's football pyramid. They are currently members of the North West Women's Regional League Premier Division and play their home games at Solar Campus in Wallasey.
Antonio Camilio Rowley was a Welsh footballer who played in the Football League for Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers. A centre forward, he also played for Wellington Town, Birmingham City, Stourbridge, Bangor City, Northwich Victoria and Mossley. He was capped once for Wales.

They joined the Football League Third Division North, when it was established after the restructuring of the English league system. The club played their first fixture, against Crewe Alexandra, at Prenton Park on 27 August 1921, winning 4–1.
Denis Reginald Bullough, was a footballer. He was a centre forward at Stockport County from 1919, before moving to Tranmere Rovers in 1921. He was the joint top-scorer for Tranmere in the 1921–22 season – their first in The Football League – netting seven league and cup goals. In 1922 he moved to Southport.
Dickie Johnson is an English footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Tranmere Rovers, Altrincham and South Liverpool. He made 397 appearances for Tranmere keeping 109 clean sheets.

On 11 August, former Football Association chief executive and ex-Tranmere Rovers player Mark Palios and his wife Nicola took a controlling interest in the club from outgoing chairman Peter Johnson.
