Peter Sarris

Peter Sarris is a British historian of late antiquity. As of 2025, Sarris is a professor at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the reign of Justinian I in the sixth century AD. [1] In 2023 his book Justinian: Emperor, Soldier, Saint was published by Basic Books. [2] [3] [4] [5]

Sarris attended Balliol College, Oxford, as an undergraduate, and was subsequently a prize fellow at All Souls College, Oxford. [1]
