Peter Swartling (born 18 November 1964) was one of the Swedish judges on the TV talent show Idol on TV4. He made it clear that he wouldn't participate in the fourth season of Idol due to him being forced to commute between Sweden and United States, where he currently lives. However, despite this, he remains to be a judge on the show.
He is considered to be one of the most successful talent scouts and producers in Swedish music and is behind the breakthrough of artists like Robyn, Petter and Just D. On 26 February 2008 it was revealed that Peter quit as a judge during Idol 2008 , none of the other two judges will attend the next season. [1]

The fourth season of Swedish Idol premiered on September 3, 2007, and continued until its grand finale on 7 December, when 28-year-old Marie Picasso was crowned winner. It was the first season to feature an all-female finale, and is to date the only season to crown a winner who had previously fallen into the 'bottom three' during the finals, with Picasso landing there twice. It was the first season to hold its grand finale at the Globen Arena in Stockholm, and to date holds the record for the largest live audience at an Idol final anywhere in the world, with a crowd of 16,000 people. The finale also featured a live performance by Kelly Clarkson. It was the final season to feature judges Daniel Breitholtz, Peter Swartling and Kishti Tomita, who all bowed out for various personal reasons. Season 4 of Idol is also credited with discovering the unique talent of runner-up Amanda Jenssen, who went on to achieve enormous commercial and critical success in Sweden.

Idol 2009 was the sixth season of the Swedish idol series and was broadcast by TV 4. The jury, identical to the previous year, consisted of Anders Bagge, Laila Bagge and Andreas Carlsson. Peter Jihde, the show's host, was also a continuation of the previous year's cast. The audition cities visited during the spring of 2009 were Gothenburg, Gävle, Malmö, Stockholm and Umeå, respectively. Around 11,000 people applied for Idol 2009, establishing a new Swedish record.
Rabih Jaber, also known by his simply Rabih is a Swedish singer of Lebanese origin. He is a former participant of Swedish Idol 2009, where he finished in seventh place. Jaber and Eddie Razaz, yet another Idol participant, became a duo pop boy band as Rebound! in 2010 with a number of hits on the Swedish charts. After the split-up of the duo in April 2011, Jaber continued for a while as a solo singer. He has of recent years made a career as a songwriter for other artists.
Pär Hugo Gustav Lernström, born 4 September 1980, is a Swedish television presenter, perhaps best known for presenting the Swedish Idol series on TV4 since 2011. He also was the main program host for UFEA European championships in Germany 2024 on the Swedish TV network TV4.
Idol 2011 was the Swedish Idol series' eight season and premiered on TV4 on 4 September 2011. Pär Lernström was the new host of the series, after Peter Jihde declined to return as host after Idol 2010. Two of the judges from earlier year returned, namely Anders Bagge and Laila Bagge Wahlgren, were joined in with two new judges, Alexander Bard and Pelle Lidell.
The Voice Sverige was the Swedish version of the singing competition The Voice of Holland. The Voice Sweden premiered on 4th January 2012 with its first season. The host was Carina Berg and judges were the singers Carola Häggkvist, Magnus Uggla, Ola Salo and rapper Petter. In January 2013, TV4 announced that Idol, another singing talent show seeking to discover the best singer through nationwide auditions, would return in 2013 and that The Voice Sverige would not continue.
X Factor was the Swedish version of The X Factor, with the only season of the series debuting on September 9, 2012 and ending on December 7, 2012. The winner of the series was Awa Santesson-Sey. TV4 announced in January 2013 that Idol, another singing talent show seeking to discover the best singer through nationwide auditions, would return in 2013 and that X Factor would not continue.
Idol 2014 will be the Swedish Idol series' tenth season, which will likely premiere in August 2014 and end in December 2014. After the completion of season 9, TV4 announced a tenth season, Idol 2014, airing in 2014. The season will, in addition to the competition, also celebrate the show's 10th anniversary. Alexander Bard, Laila Bagge and Anders Bagge will return as judges from last season. The season's host is the same as 2011 and 2013, Pär Lernström.
Negar Nikki Amini, is an Iranian-born Swedish marketer at Universal Music Groups office in London. Since 2016, she has served as a judge on the Swedish version of Idol broadcast on TV4 - 2016 alongside Fredrik Kempe and Quincy Jones III, and since 2017 alongside Kishti Tomita, Alexander Kronlund and Anders Bagge. She confirmed after 2020's final show that she will not appear in the next season of the show. Having begun her career as a marketer for the record label Warner Music, Amini has worked with musicians including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Avicii and Justin Bieber. She participated in Let's Dance 2018 broadcast on TV4.

Idol 2021 was the seventeenth season of the Swedish Idol series. The show was broadcast on TV4 and starts on 23 August 2021. Judge member Nikki Amini left the show after the sixteenth season.
Idol 2022 was the eighteenth season of the Swedish Idol series. The show was broadcast on TV4 and started on 22 August 2022, and then ended with a final on 25 November. Pär Lernström continued as presenter of the show with Anis Don Demina as co-presenter. The judges from the last season all returned.
